I love dogs, and I enjoy that the book was about dogs, but it felt like it was shallow writing. There were moments of trouble but you can tell everyone is going to get out of it. The characters were not deeply written. I have really enjoyed Jeremy Robinsons other works but this series just seemed rushed. Great job by the narrator though!

RC Bray does no wrong

RC Bray nailed it as usual. Interesting story. Slow to start, but gradually pulled me in. Story is worth a listen, but probably not a second for me.

First off, Mr Bray was impeccable as always. You are a national treasure.

Let me start by saying that I don't normally listen to horror, or thriller stories. That said, this book was boring. The story was meh, and at no point was I ever anxious or worried (maybe the second pool scene had me a scoche anxious). Kind of a "well duh" story line, especially the ending.

Good plot, poorly written

I am disappointed with this book. Great plot idea, but the actual writing seemed rushed. The characters didn't develop emotionally and didn't seem to have what I considered the correct reactions to situations. There was very little emotion, good or bad. I felt like I was reading something written by a teenager for a class project.

RC Bray saved the book. If he wasn't reading, I may not have finished. That being said, this was his worst performance I have listened to. While listening to him normally, I may catch 1 or 2 mistakes, but this book had a bunch. Maybe it was the editors fault, I don't know.

Most of this book should have been a side story.

I am very disappointed in this book. Honestly, the only saving grace in it was Masters part and the part with McAfee (sp?)

First off, RC Bray...your angelic reading was absolutely perfect and in my eyes, you can do no wrong. Stay sexy you beautiful bastard.

So the majority of the book is another story line with Andean and Cro. As soon as they dropped into the story, I almost returned the book. The savage wars book that followed Cro was the worst book I have ever listened to and the only reason I finished was because I wasn't sure if it was going to be integral to future books. I swore I would never listen again. Then this book comes out and suddenly I am back in that story again, wishing it would just die.

This book should be following the main characters. It doesn't until the last hour or so and it is just the group on the savage hulk. No Keel or his crew at all. This book should have been a 1.5 if anything. I am super bummed.

Well, this is that but in Florida. The whole story is 1 guy going from event to event to event. There isn't really an overall plot (unless you count chasing money and selling house suspenders). Decent book but I'll never listen to it again.
