Historia
Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

Couldn’t put it down!
Revisado: 09-29-24
Best book ever!! Great reader, great story, great characters! I love how the staff at the Rilston hotel have that Fawlty Towers vibe, and how natural the relationships are with all the characters. Couldn’t put it down!

Bad narration
Revisado: 09-19-24
Good story, bad, bad, bad narration! It’s hard to stick with this series. It’s a shame, I could see this being 4-5 star with a different reader. This reader sounds like she’s AI, she pronounces each syllable and accentuates the vowels, there is little variation in tone between characters, and

Historia
Mrs. Harris is a salt-of-the-earth London charlady who cheerfully cleans the houses of the rich. One day, when tidying Lady Dant's wardrobe, she comes across the most beautiful thing she has ever seen in her life—a Dior dress. In all the years of her drab and humble existence, she's never seen anything as magical as the dress before her and she's never wanted anything as much before. Determined to make her dream come true, Mrs. Harris scrimps, saves, and slaves away until one day, after three long, uncomplaining years, she finally has enough money to go to Paris.

Wonderful escape!
Revisado: 09-14-23
I love escaping in stories like these. Especially when there’s innocent mischief, love, and a great message. The God element is clear too in both stories. Very cleverly written! I wish all these stories were turned into a mini series on tv.
