A Good Read
Revisado: 11-01-17
I enjoyed this book and thought it was very interesting, the story is told in 3 parts and. the 1st part was quite confronting, the middle was a bit mundane and the 3rd part was reviling. and I enjoyed all 3 parts and the change in pace kept my attention, I thought the narration was good too and I would be happy to recommend this book as a good read with an unusual plot that may be a little hard to swallow but is still enjoyable.

Glad I ignored the reviews
Revisado: 09-10-17
I read through the mixed reviews on this book and was very undecided on whether to purchase or not, but I'm so glad I did
I was hooked on this book from the 1st chapter and the Author did a fantastic job with a very sensitive subject, I liked all the characters and the book was easy to read and kept me up wanting to find out what happened next.
I would throughly recommend this book I really enjoyed it and the narrator did a fantastic job.

Good Who Done it??
Revisado: 08-19-17
I enjoyed this book, and as others have said is a good cosy thriller, I liked the main characters, both had disabilities, Gregg has OCD and finds it hard to leave his house without checking and Beth has CP so to trying to solve who is murdering Greggs neighbours is no easy task for these two good guys, lots of good twists in this book, you think you know who did it and then that person dies too so you're back to square one trying to figure out who did it?
I thought that Helen Clapp the narrator did the book justice and I would defiantly read another book by John Bown, this book is a good read and little bit quirky to keep your attention and wanting more.

Lots of suspense and high action
Revisado: 07-09-17
Wow if you like a thriller with lots of suspense and high action including drug transporting, vicious gang revenge & brutal mafia killings then this is the book to read
When an ambitious news reporter stumbles upon more than she bargained for, she inadvertently opens a whole can of worms involving a mafia drug smuggling ring. which results in innocent bystanders getting caught up in the crossfire.
And when the police step in to try to uncover the identities of the perpetrators it only results in more carnage.
Who will survive this war of good verses evil and will the outcome be worthy of the cost.
I enjoyed listening to this audio the story it was fast paced and was well narrated by Hugh Trethowa , I read this book as a stand alone and not part of the series and had no problem following the characters but I do wish I had read the whole series as I know i would have enjoyed them. Hats off to Conrad Jones for another great read.

Un put a down-able
Revisado: 05-29-17
I love this style of book, its very hard hitting and to the point, no over the top padding or fluffy around, your attention is grabbed right from the start and then your taken on a readers journey through a war zone and come out the other end feeling like you just had a lucky escape, and the British writers are so good at it.
Great Story about a boy who is a nice kid out walking his dog and ends up in bad trouble, You get to really dislike the villains in this book which there are lots of.
The narrator does a excellent job especially as there are so many accents.
I was hooked from the moment I started reading this book and it was one my quickest reads in a long time as i couldn't put it down.
Throughly recommend this as a action packed thriller.

Historia
Emma didn't know how long he hid, silent and unmoving, in the large Victorian wardrobe to the side of her single bed. She didn't know how long he peered out, salivating and drooling, between the two heavy dark oak doors, and watched, mesmerized, as she slowly drifted into fitful sleep. She didn't know what time he pushed the doors open and crept towards her in the drab grey darkness of the night.

Revisado: 08-25-13
This book is so full of religious and political crap and the story in unbelievable how can one guy save the planet then get taken to court for not asking for government permission first, its stupid and then to try connect whats happing in the world to day with what is prophesied in the Bible and not even do a believable job of it. 'Dont waste a credit on this book!!!!
