Historia
Never in history, until now, have we been able to hear from so many people around the world who have been brought back from clinical death. Modern medical resuscitation and digital communication have revealed a goldmine of intriguing near-death experiences (NDEs) that show us the character of God. John Burke has spent the last three decades studying the commonalities of more than 1000 NDEs. His investigative journey started as a skeptical agnostic, when his own father was dying from cancer.

Historia
January isn't the season for the seaside, but the big Fire and Ice festival is keeping bookstore owner Addie busy. Amid the plans for a fireworks display and an ice-carving competition, she's also dog sitting for a friend in the hospital. When Addie goes to her friend's house to gather supplies, she notices an interesting item on the nightstand that belongs to her shop assistant, Paige: a very valuable copy of the beloved children's book The Secret Garden. But Addie's blood runs cold when she finds something else: a dead body behind the bakery next door to her shop.

The story was engaging, but the narration was not.

Not keen on the narrator; i found the deliberate tempo with no inflections when performing the background story difficult to listen to, though she did a good job on the young female voices.

Historia
July 1912. Lady Hardcastle and her tenacious lady’s maid, Florence Armstrong, are enjoying a convivial gathering at the home of their dear friends, the Farley-Strouds. The only fly in the idyllic ointment seems to be the lack of musical entertainment for the forthcoming summer party—until, that is, Lady Hardcastle’s brother Harry calls with news of a murder.

Good storyline, as always; one of my favorite series. The narrator is excellent in her performance of the various characters and their accents. A thoroughly enjoyable tale.

Historia
Assisting an overwhelmed insurance appraiser with the inventory, Addie discovers an 1887 magazine containing Arthur Conan Doyle's first Sherlock Holmes novel, A Study in Scarlet, which she estimates to be worth over $150,000. But when Addie later finds the appraiser dead in the estate's private library, with the door bolted from the inside, and the priceless edition missing, it's a mystery worthy of the Great Detective himself. She's certain the death and the robbery are connected - but who, other than a ghost who can walk through walls, could have gotten in to do the deed?

I had a hard time concentrating on the story because I disliked the narrator so much.

Story moderately entertaining, but, again, I found the voice of the narrator grating and distracting.

Description: Somewhere down in Texas, I write humorous mysteries, featuring an amateur sleuth. Some say they’re like book versions of the Hallmark mystery movies. Being a Hallmark fan, I take the description as a compliment. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, I thought about different ways I could show gratitude to my readers. Write a new book in my series? Two books? Write a giveaway novella or a post a weekly serial story? (I did write the 4th book in my series.) But I needed the idea to be different, innovative. I wanted it to be free. Fun. And a way to pass the hours curled up in a comfy ...

Historia
Toni and Agatha are in the car on the way to Officer Bill Wong’s long-awaited wedding when, much to their shock, a naked young man bursts through a hedge on the side of the road and comes running toward them. Terrified, he explains that he has just seen a dead body in the woods. Toni lends him an old t-shirt to cover himself, Agatha calls the police, and the young man takes them to the spot where he saw the body, across from a meadow where the Mircester Naturist Club is due to have its annual summer barbecue.

Revisado: 06-07-23
This is the first story I have heard performed by Penelope Keith. She was terrible! So disappointed; I expected much better from her. I thought the characters were true to the original books, but the narration and voices were so poor that I found it distracting. I will not buy more audible books that Ms. Keith narrates.
