Historia
Striving While Black is a personal reflection, a playbook and a portable mentor for African-Americans and others who didn't and don't have the advantage of trailblazers who have gone before them in forging a successful corporate career. Success in corporate America is based on not only what you know - but, as importantly, who you know and who will sponsor you, share information with you as well as advocate for you.

What and how
Revisado: 08-23-22
The author describes the problem of being without boundaries and provides commonsensical solutions to the resolution of shared problems. Even those who think they have set needed boundaries can benefit from the scenarios presented in Boundary Boss.

Historia
In 2010, the words “earthquake swarm” entered the lexicon in Oklahoma. That same year, a trove of Michael Jackson memorabilia—including his iconic crystal-encrusted white glove—was sold at auction for over $1 million to a guy who was, officially, just the lowly forestry minister of the tiny nation of Equatorial Guinea. And in 2014, Ukrainian revolutionaries raided the palace of their ousted president and found a zoo of peacocks, gilded toilets, and a floating restaurant modeled after a Spanish galleon.

Extraordinary Advantage of Big Oil
Revisado: 08-11-22
Big oil, working through legislative bodies and “buying influence” have taken the public on a journey that benefits no one except Big Oil and their cronies! The industry has taken advantage of poorer countries as well as the USA. They need to be reined in by new legislation. Opinions in the book were supported by facts and the negative impact on democracy is apparent. Anyone wishing to understand current events and their relationship to Big Oil would benefit from reading or listening to the contents of BLOWOUT.

Historia
In Cancer Is Not a Disease!, best-selling author and internationally acclaimed health expert Andreas Moritz argues that cancer is the physical symptom of the body’s final attempt to eliminate specific life-destructive causes. He claims that removing such causes sets the precondition for complete healing of the body, mind, and emotions. This book confronts you with a radically new understanding of cancer - one that outdates the current cancer model.

Historia
Drawing on their own cross cultural experience in global mission, O'Brien and Richards show how better self-awareness and understanding of cultural differences in language, time, and social mores allow us to see the Bible in fresh and unexpected ways. Getting beyond our own cultural assumptions is increasingly important for being Christians in our interconnected and globalized world. Learn to read Scripture as a member of the global body of Christ.

Enlightening! Thought provoking.
Revisado: 10-06-20
The authors made me reconsider how I understand the Bible. Their emphasis on differences in collectivist and individualistic cultures provide a new lens through which I understand what I read. It’s similar to how my understanding of agricultural practices inform my understanding of some parables. Anyone who wants to understand the Bible and its applications would benefit from reading this book.
