Great Narrator

Abby Craden was perfect as always but this book was difficult. I can’t stand Marie at all and Olivia caused me anxiety as I read about her need to remain a recluse of sorts. But somehow, I love how different this book was. There was no grand over the top love exchange. This book was so matter of fact and so much closer to what a relationship might be like. And the age of the MCs gives hope to love. It’s a reminder that despite everything all hope for romance is not gone.

Don’t Bother

Listen to the reviews and do not get this book. I was tired of buying credits so I decided to listen to this. Usually, I find the stories to be good even when others don’t like them. This one had no twist. The drama was not even all that good. Even on a long drive, I would recommend you skip this one. The narrator was excellent though.

Swap Narrators

This was such a great story about self discovery later in life. The conflicts were not as bad as I had expected being that one was an escort and the other one a wealthy heiress. There love story was great and very steamy. The only thing that I would have wanted was to have Abby Craden read read the part of Belle instead of Reina. This is not to say that Tessa Stavers was bad since she did a great job narrating but all steamy scenes should really be reserved for Abby since no one can do them quite like her. All in all, I recommend this one.

Can’t go wrong with Abby Craden

This was short and sweet. While I love Angela Dawe, I only got this because of Abby Craden and she didn’t disappoint. Is it possible to have a crush on a voice?
The story is a bit juvenile in some parts but the ending was all worth it. It brought me back to when I was trying to find myself early in my youth. I loved Chelsea’s growth and her love and support for Tara. I would recommend this short story definitely. The narrators are amazing.

Narrator saved it

This sorry was unnecessarily long. It could’ve been shorter. And the very tame sex scene didn’t occur until the last 45 minutes. The office drama took up so much of the story that I forgot it was supposed to be a romance novel. But it was still very sweet and in a way empowering. The narrator choice was great because otherwise, I probably would’ve stopped listening earlier on. Anastasia has that sweet voice that is perfect for lesfic.

Very forward and inclusive

The love story here was different. The conflicts were not played out the way your typical lesfic conflict are. But what made this story epic were the diverse characters and the inclusion. I love the way the characters here were portrayed. I think I will definitely read more Dana Piccoli stories. And the ending was also very magical.

Not a Lesbian novel

I can’t finish this. This is not a romance or lesbian novel. It sounds like something a man thought up. I don’t have a problem with bisexual people but this is just disappointing. I feel bad for Jada who continues to allow Midori to use and manipulate her. Just once, I would love a good lesbian novel with women of color as the MCs. And I’m not too crazy about the narrator here either.

Stick to Lori Prince

I find that I like Miranda MacLeod books more when narrated by Lori Prince. This is the second one I’ve listened to. I tried others and couldn’t finish them.
This story was funny, loving, and dealt with other aspects of sexuality. I love that it wasn’t as black and white as a straight woman who just found out she wasn’t actually straight. The way they delved into Hope’s mind as she struggled to find herself was very enlightening. I for one am happy that someone touched on this.

Horrible MCs

Kerry is just nosy and way too in your face. She’s also sneaky and just too much for me.
Carson is very selfish and just does nothing. She complains about her too easy life where she gets to play around all day and still be rich. She doesn’t even offer to help her brothers. There was absolutely no reason for her to not have reached out to them. Even if she only had reached out to Chase. All she did was whine and complain and then all of a sudden casually finds herself “in love.” Their relationship was so bland and seemed forced my Kerry. The only redeeming quality was Abby Craden. She made the story way more than it was.
