Historia
It's raining in Liscor. The spring rains have come and Liscor's entire geography changes with the dawning of the new year. The Floodplains of Liscor live up to their name, and the only way anyone is going to travel is by boat. With the rains come more monsters, dungeon delving, more goblins...not to mention some unwanted attention for the Wandering Inn.

Good clean LitRPG.

Proof that the genre doesn't have to be vulgar. Good listen, but rough pacing occasionally. May binge this series.

Historia
An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster. Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe. Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene. It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster. That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that. A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

A refreshing reminder.

This story felt the most like a return to Arand's work in the Selfless Hero trilogy. Proof that he can return to a great MC, while maintaining the harem theme that he likes so much. I've struggled through some of the other work that he has set in this universe, just to stay in touch with the overall weave, but this one was a happy jaunt back to something I really enjoyed. Thanks William. I have faith again.

Historia
Welcome to the world of T. W. Brown's DEAD saga. This raw, violent, and brutal world isn't populated with military supermen and women, or preppers that have been waiting for the human extinction event to arrive. This is a world of normal people...some good, some bad...and some pure evil. This is a global look at the end of the world. Follow Steve and his group as you see the apocalypse unfold through a single person's eyes. With the Geeks, you meet four young men who thought a zombie apocalypse would be cool...and quickly discover that it really isn't.

Meh....
Revisado: 06-25-20
Pros: Great beginning. Decent character development early on. Some interesting concepts about zombie variants.
Cons: Plot holes really begin to build as the books go on. The author tries to fill some with the literary equivalent of bubble gum and duct tape. Protagonist that are well established and interesting are replaced with tired shadows of characters, seemingly for no reason other than an attempt at shock that the protagonist died. Usually ends up feeling like a weak attempt at a GoT style scene. Pretty much everything after the time skip is just...meh.

There are only two paths in life: average and awesome. The average path is easy because all you have to do is nothing. The awesome path is more challenging, because things like fear only bother you when you do work that matters. The good news is Start gives listeners practical, actionable insights to be more awesome, more often.

Mr. Acuff presents some great concepts here. The concepts are not so specific that they can be time worn, and honestly his style presents enough comedy to hold ones interest. Well worth a listen.
