Historia
Enrique Prado found himself in his first firefight at age seven. The son of a middle-class Cuban family caught in the midst of the Castro Revolution, his family fled their war-torn home for the hope of a better life in America. Fifty years later, the Cuban refugee retired from the Central Intelligence Agency as the CIA equivalent of a two-star general. Black Ops is the story of Ric’s legendary career that spanned two eras, the Cold War and the Age of Terrorism.

Revisado: 05-16-24
Great book. People don’t realize the threats that are out there, or even appreciate the wonderful nation we live in… and some of those unappreciative sorts are our politicians. Thank you Mr Prado for being a true hero and thanks to those who walk toward the danger every day. Great book and a fantastic story of American love and will.

Inside our military is a team of operators whose work is so secretive that the name of the unit itself is classified. Highly-trained in warfare, self-defense, infiltration, and deep surveillance, "the Unit," as the Department of Defense has asked us to refer to it, has been responsible for preventing dozens of terrorist attacks in the Western world. Never before has a member of this unit shared their story — until now.

Revisado: 04-12-24
Great read. Some will complain about the lack of certain specifics in the book regarding missions. You are missing the point. Adam is a true patriot who came here, assimilated and loves his country because he knows how great it is. Listen to his fervor for America, we need more of that..!! Great read and God Bless our troops and their service.

Historia
Chief Petty Officer James "Patches" Watson was there at the start. One of the first to come out of the famed Underwater Demolition Team 21, he was an initial member—a "plank owner"—of America's deadliest and most elite fighting force, the U.S. Navy SEALs. Through three tours in the jungle hell of Vietnam, he walked the point—staying alert to trip wires, booby traps, and punji pits, guiding his squad of amphibious fighters on missions of rescue, reconnaissance, and demolition—confronting a war's unique terrors head-on, unprotected . . . and unafraid.

Fantastic book
Revisado: 07-07-23
I’ve heard Dale Hanson speak. He is a true American and a man who loves his life and his country. He saw the worst that war can bring, saw how politicians and military managers can utterly change the face of a war and not care about the fighters who fight… but… through all that he see what this country truly stands for which is freedom and Liberty. All this sounds sappy but you’d have to read this excellent book to understand. God Bless our service members, especially these brave and heroic men who fought in Vietnam. We would not enjoy the freedoms we have now without them. Read the book, listen to Mr. Hanson speak. You will not regret it and hopefully will be humbled by his words.

Historia
Uncommon Valor is a look into the formation and operation of an advanced Special Forces recon company during the Vietnam War. Code-named the Studies and Observations Group, SOG was the most covert US military unit in its time and contained only volunteers from such elite units as the Army's Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and Air Force Air Commandos. SOG warriors operated in small teams, going behind enemy lines in Laos and Cambodia and along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, tasked with performing special reconnaissance, sabotaging North Vietnamese Army ammunition, and far more.

These veterans were not properly honored for their efforts and their willingness to give all. History should be more willing to praise these men. This book expresses the reason why..!!!

What is heroism? What are its moral components - altruism, love, self-sacrifice? Why was it once celebrated, and now often dismissed as anachronistic? In this dramatic and readable account of last stands in history - famous or otherwise - Walsh explores the stakes that led men at very different times and places to face overwhelming odds and certain death for the sake of family, home and country.

Fantastic…!!!!
Revisado: 01-10-23
This book is a true description of a warrior spirit. No matter what the odds, you have a choice, and that is to run or fight. The stories show desire for men to stand up in the face of what appears to be the feet, but yet fight for a cause. laws were saved, nations were built, and dictators were dethroned because of the bravery of the few. I would recommend this book to anyone. I also liked the authors epilogue regarding his father and his actions in Korea. It’s actions of men like Sergeant Walsh that have made this country into what it is at this time. I hope that we still have warriors who are bred in this land to stand up in the future and preserve this democracy..

Historia
From July 10, 1943, the date of the Allied landing in Sicily, to May 8, 1945, when victory in Europe was declared - the entire time it took to liberate Europe - no regiment saw more action, and no single platoon, company, or battalion endured worse, than the ones commanded by Felix Sparks, who had entered the war as a greenhorn second lieutenant of the 157th "Eager for Duty" Infantry Regiment of the 45th "Thunderbird" Division. Sparks and his fellow Thunderbirds fought longest and hardest to defeat Hitler.

Historia
May 1945. Hitler is dead, and the Third Reich is little more than smoking rubble. No GI wants to be the last man killed in action against the Nazis. But for cigar-chewing, rough-talking, hard-drinking, hard-charging Captain Jack Lee and his men, there is one more mission: rescue 14 prominent French prisoners held in an SS-guarded castle high in the Austrian Alps. It's a dangerous mission, but Lee has help from a decorated German Wehrmacht officer and his men, who voluntarily join the fight.

Historia
On October 24, 1944, more than 200 American soldiers were surrounded by German infantry deep in the Vosges Mountains of Eastern France. When their food, ammunition, and medical supplies ran out, the area's army headquarters turned to the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a segregated unit of Japanese American soldiers, to achieve what other units had failed to do: rescue the "lost battalion".

Fantastic
Revisado: 06-03-22
I have watched the 1951 movie “Go for Broke” about the 442…. But that movie doesn’t do this unit the Justice that this book does. The bravery, tenacity but more importantly the “love of country” shown by these men was beyond extraordinary. In the face of racial strife, they stepped forward and fought for a country and a constitution that they believe in, many of whom doing so in the form of the ultimate sacrifice. This book should be required reading in schools and colleges to show what live of country is all about. God Bless these men and their families and more importantly their legacy.
