I really enjoyed learning about Hoover’s FBI and how it changed and evolved. Douglas’s story is both a universal tale of growing up, maturing and changing a system. The chapters dramatically change when moving into the rather heinous and barbaric acts of criminals he is helping others to apprehend.

The quotes that speaks to me-

•I don’t make arrests, but assist those who do.

•Criminals are not born, but made……with this said, we need more love.


A no-nonsense look into the FBI delivered by a hard boiled and no-nonsense narrator.

I will definitely listen again and recommend this title in audio or print.

Fun Romp with a limited character view.

The story is fun and fast-paced offering an entertaining story. The character is one-dimensional and is a grab-bag of Bond and Rambo. I'm sure a bouncer and MMA fighter by night and college student by days statistically exists, but weird parental drama is suspect to me and is one example (of many) regarding the author's inability to create tension and drama without heavy-handed tactics.
