Once again ancient SK is preaching politics
Revisado: 09-11-23
I have loved the works of SK since 1976 and then after he luckily, and miraculously survived his near death accident by an idiot driving a mini van. He ruined his masterwork which I believe was actually written by his eldest son Joe who is terrific, but with Dad’s notes and overseeing. C’mon…he literally died for a few minutes! He came back strong with Duma Key which tells his version of his life tragedy while living in his utterly isolated billion dollar mansion off the Gulf coast. But then he wrote a great work of fiction and time travel. However, chose to make about how the lying Warren Commission and all those impossibilities were true. Who was he trying to convince?? He’s entitled to his opinion, but not in an afterword explaining how he’s right and everyone else is wrong. He done similar things through this century and right now after just the first chapter. I’m literally DONE with SK and his preaching. I chose to skip to the end and as expected. There was his ever weakening voice trying to explain how everything about COVID and its vaccines, masks, lockdowns, etc. were all the right thing to do. Not this time Steve! I know from my own facts it was a chemical attack against America and whoever we have left as an actual ally. What’s the next novel…Biden the genius? Please…. Anyway, this is my opinion I’m entitled to. Your works will live on forever. Your earlier works will always be my favorites along with a few others like Duma and Black House. I’ll never understand how you could let Hollywood ruin The Dark Tower as you did and get upset about it. But now I understand. Hollywood is all part of the Leftist cabal you seem to be part of. Again your choice. My choice to seek new authors. Best wishes no matter what.

A terrific story of real life fiction…
Revisado: 08-21-23
It’s is completely plausible that such people exist and could do to each other everything written in this novel. The author does a great job of bringing each characters strengths and weaknesses to life. The narration by Edward Herman was terrific even without the true male and female voices. This story was so well written and performed, you never had to wonder who was thinking or speaking. The movie adaptation, though less complex, was also well done. I highly recommend both.

Historia
The illegal Monster Hunt app has definitely done a number on Chase Knowles’ life, transforming him from a down-on-his-luck musician to the Alpha of two incredible Huntresses. Along with his bandmate, Iris, the group has taken New York City by storm, hunting and brawling in the city’s landmarks and hard-to-reach spaces. But there is more to the Monster Hunt app than catch or sell. An exclusive world known as EverLife presents new challenges, new adventure, and a mystery that none have been able to solve. It also presents new foes.

Musicians should allow for a writer & performers to be themselves
Revisado: 06-28-23
As a lover of audiobooks and the works of all involved with the story and voice performances. It’s an excellent book. As a lifetime long pro touring musician, it’s painful each time words are pronounced incorrectly, or when the ‘music’ is being discussed or described. Sound is life. Sound does correspond to color. But the only true high point of the music was the terrific singing voice of Annie. Character or not. She has a great singing voice on top of her mad skills as a voice performer. The pair of Jeff and Annie have always brought the best out if any story they’ve read. And although not in this book series. Props to the entire Soundbooth Theater team plus Andrea Parsneau for all the wonderful hours of listening you all have given me. Seems like another book will be coming. I look forward to it and hope the music descriptions and sounds get better. Bravo to all!

I enjoyed the world setting and the characters although not wanting to be touched or having no clue how to relate to anyone is implausible for the main character. But who’s perfect, right?

In his first novel, Dave Eggers has written a moving and hilarious tale of two friends who fly around the world trying to give away a lot of money and free themselves from a profound loss. It reminds us once again what an important, necessary talent Dave Eggers is.

Dumb and Dumber in written form. Good thing this was free.
Revisado: 02-07-23
I love The Circle which is why I thought I’d check out more work by the author. It says this was his first book. It seems like Beavis and Butthead on a random, pointless trio to go around the world and then one goes to a wedding in Mexico. I couldn’t get more than half way through before writing this. If there are good surprises, I’m afraid some should have been brought out sooner. The guy who has a messed up face with voices in his head is the lead character. His friend is just as weird without the face or voices.

Historia
It seems that Jason is about to bring down something that has stood for eons in secret, controlling the universe. The Primes have worked in the background for ages, ruling the universe as they saw fit, but not always to the benefits of the races. But Jason is taking them out, since to him, they are nothing more than petty gods who are choosing to use the people of the universe as pawns.

Disappointing conclusion and other stuff…
Revisado: 11-29-22
The basic premise was okay, but nothing new. The characters were okay, but nothing new or unique. The grammar was poor. It’s she and I NOT she and me among many other grammatical errors. I literally was able to picture every movie the author took for this series of books including perhaps books by other authors. The ending was so predictable and the main character is a moron. I did like the needless detailed sex crap left out. That was refreshing for a harem style novel. I hope you can grow as an author and produce better works I’ll check out in the future.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

I’m surprised it’s not adding Joe Hill as co-author.
Revisado: 09-11-22
Mr. King has nothing to prove to anyone. I’ve been a huge fan of his from the very beginning with a paperback copy of Carrie and Salem’s Lot. The title doesn’t quite match the entirety of this story. It felt to me as if this was two stories combined. I did enjoy all the references to Dark Tower, Black House, and a few other novels that have bits from his once masterwork, The Dark Tower. It hit going in typical King style including his fascination with farting. Then it seemed like it was heading to a direction I was expecting then suddenly changed into a very different story. And then, after that round the mulberry bush, it came back. It even ends in a style King dislikes, but he knows his fans prefer. At 70+ years old and nearly dying over two decades ago. Stephen King has nothing to prove. I was hoping for a ‘come back to his roots’ type of book. He didn’t quite make it. Aspects were classic SK, but other things seemed more like his eldest son Joe contributed based on Joe’s excellent small selection of novels. I wouldn’t recommend it, but I’d not tell anyone to not check it out if they are SK fans. Stephen, can you talk your son Joe into writing more novels please? I loved them all, but then he stopped after nearly all have been made into movies or TV shows. He is you when you were his age and I miss that level of greatness. Hang in there Steve, Biden will be gone soon. Best wishes to you and your entire family!

Vall CHOSE. Or to post books 18 & 19!
Revisado: 09-09-22
I really enjoyed this series. I even found book 17 as an audible release by going under Kindle and look under ALL titles. However, this author, who is still putting new books on Audible, has chosen NOT to allow his readers to get the final books #18 and #19 to see how things turned out from the cliffhanger ending of book 17. He’s got it done by the same performers. It’s on HIS audiobook page along with some BS reason why he supposedly was going to STOP having business with Audible/Amazon. It’s been nearly a year….look at all these NEW releases! He lied, or is a moron and forgot he changed his mind. Remember when George R.R. Martin told everyone for YEARS he was working on book 6 of Song of Ice & Fire? He lied, too. Now there’s a lame new series because he’s a money grabbing fat turd. It seems to be the inspiration for Mr. Vall. I’m posting this same review on ALL of the books in this series. Authors shouldn’t do things like this if they actually care about their readers. Suck it up and see it through. That’s the lifestyle I was taught and have always kept. That seems to be vanishing with everything else.
