Historia
The lives of four very different women have been shaped - and battered - by one charming man…Ireland's debonair politician Paddy de Courcy - the "John F. Kennedy Jr. of Dublin" - has captured tabloid headlines and the imagination of his country with his charm and charisma. But the crushed hearts he's left behind him reveal more about his character than his winning, vote getting smile. Lola, Grace, Marnie, and Alicia have all suffered from his selfishness and cruelty.

Horrible.
Revisado: 08-04-20
I can see why this book was on sale. It was awful. There were no pronouns so it sounded like it was being read in broken English. I've only been listening to it for an hour and I'm already done with it. That mixed with the fact that the main character comes off whiney and maybe that's the narrator's fault. I don't know. What I do know though is I hated it. I'm going to return it.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Meh...
Revisado: 05-28-20
This book was meh...just meh. It was boring and I felt like there were at least two characters who were just thrown in the mix that didn't really add anything to the story. I was hoping that the ending would redeem it but I had already predicted what would happen. Tamsin Kennard was brilliant at narrating as always and is truly the only reason I kept on listening. If not for her, I would have returned the book.

Historia
Elle is a survivor. She’s managed to piece together a solid life from a childhood of broken memories and fairy tales her mom told her to explain away bad dreams. But weekly visits to her mother still fill Elle with a paralyzing fear she can’t explain. It’s just another of so many unanswered questions she grew up with in a family estranged by silence and secrets.

WOW!
Revisado: 05-18-20
This book gripped me. The narration was great. Arthur Morey is the first male narrator that didn't grate my nerves when doing a female part. Usually their high pitched impressions bother me so much that I end up giving up on the whole book. I highly recommend this book.

Predictable
Revisado: 05-04-20
This story was pretty good but that ending was just meh. It was predictable. I knew Evan was in on it. It was a bit cheesey. I rolled my eyes so much because it made me cringe. This may appeal to teenagers more than someone like me who's in their thirties.

Needs a different narrator!
Revisado: 04-29-20
I couldn't with this one. The narrator is awful. She clearly sounds like she's in her 50s or 60s and she's playing the role of a 34 year old?! Not believable. There's something annoying about the way she speaks, like she's way too posh. Her attempt at a Scottish accent was laughable. If the character didn't say he was from Scotland, you would never have known. It's a shame because the book sounds really interesting and had the potential to be an amazing listen but the narrator completely ruined it. Narrators should fit their roles like actors have to fit theirs for movies. If it's a bad fit it ruins the whole production. Maybe I'll buy the book and just read it myself.

Gripping
Revisado: 04-28-20
This story was so good! I couldn't stop listening. The narrators all did a great job for the most part. The only complaint I have is that the narrator that did Lucy's ex-husband's part had a terrible American accent. It was an accent that was halfway between American and British. Also, there was a weird part where Libby says her 39 year old mother is middle-aged. I couldn't help but be irked by that as to me 39 is most definitely not middle-aged.

Historia
When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

Incredibly boring
Revisado: 04-06-20
I honestly don't remember much about this book...I zoned out through at least half of it. I'm not sure if it was the narrator or just the writing but couldn't even finish it. I had 2 hours left and just couldn't do it anymore.
