Historia
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Unusual plot

I really enjoyed this book. I smiled several times at the humorous dialogue. It had a somewhat unusual plot that kept my attention. if you’re looking for a easy light, listen, I recommend.

Good story w Lots of characters
Revisado: 02-21-25
This story goes back-and-forth between when the murder was committed in 1982 and current. I’m not gonna lie, at some point during the book I had to write down all of the characters names and who they were to keep everyone straight. It’s a good story and kept my interest.

This is the absolute best free title I’ve ever gotten on audible! If for some reason it’s not free right now, completely worth a credit.
This is an awesome second chance romance that has fully developed characters and

Historia
If my childhood taught me anything, it was to survive. Now I have a deep-rooted mistrust of people and a wall of steel and ice surrounding my heart. So, when Reed Ryan steps into my life, I know I need to keep him far away. He’s everything I grew up hating. Fighting. Fleeing. Devastatingly handsome, he looks like a drunken regret and has heartbreak written over every inch of his body - literally. He’s the quintessential bad boy...and he’s a cop. But the man is my undoing.

Ok for free title
Revisado: 10-24-24
This had great reviews but never built any kind of suspense for me. It was fine for a free title but it was just kind of boring & slow. I was in the mood for a feel good mystery but this just didn’t do it for me.

Boring
Revisado: 08-21-24
I listened to half of this book and I truly didn’t care what happened so I deleted it. I usually love Lauren Blakely’s books but this one didn’t have enough going on in the plot to keep my interest. I suggest a side plot to engage the reader better. No chemistry, thin plot

Historia
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. For me, the story did not build any kind of momentum. It was just something to listen to until the last couple hours when there was a little bit of suspense. I’m surprised this has such great ratings.

Pretty good
Revisado: 03-03-24
This came out in 2015 at the height of the BDSM phenomenon. A ton of books flooded the market around that time and this one incorporated the trend. I honestly would've liked the book better without that twist.
The plot was good and I enjoyed it up until the end which felt rushed and then everything was tied up perfectly. It kind of ruined it for me

Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.
