Out of the Blue - second chance steaminess

I love this second chance romance between a professional sister and her new bodyguard who happens to be her ex but still legal husband. The audio was great. The narrators captured the personalities of the characters, and it was tense during suspenseful scenes and steamy when it needed to be. Love it.

I enjoyed the translation and the introductory notes were great. wish there were more. What I loved was the Cowboy Havamal. I'm a Texan and when I read the Havamal I also hear a voice like my my grandparents. Please continue. I would love to hear more Norse material in Texan, or western, interpretation.

Behind the Veil is a fun, sexy, suspenseful mystery cozy set in the world of the rare book black market. Henry is a librarian at Oxford who accuses his boss of stealing several items, but his boss has documents to frame Henry instead. Delilah world for Codex which is a private investigation firm specializing in stolen rare books. Henry Joins the Codex team. In his first undercover assignment, he and Delilah are mistaken for a married couple but gain entry into the elite upper crust. Now they're exploring high society as a fake married couple. Expect a lot of sexual tension, fun times in a utility closet and limo, and intrigue. No cheating, no cliffhanger, can be read as a standalone in an interconnected series with each book featuring a different couple, and an HEA.

Contains: on page banging, a kick-ass female PI, a charming librarian turned PI, posing as a married couple while undercover, betrayal by a mentor/work superior, false allegations against the main characters, conflicted emotions when befriending suspects, high adrenaline action, and a neat look at rare books and antiquities.

I loved this audiobook (and ebook). Emily and Derek make the ultimate power couple. They have so much chemistry together. Emily gets into PR trouble through no fault of her own, and Derek slides into provide his services as a corporate fixer by way of bubble bath introduction. She's trying to please everyone while he tries to get at the core of what she wants from life. The best part would be the vagillionaire friendship. 4 gals who love and support each other unconditionally. They help without taking over to "solve" the problem. The community in Bluewater is also fun including Steve the 3 legged alligator and Frank the foul mouthed parrot. Also, Jane is the best. No cheating, no cliffhanger, they bang in the best ways, and happily ever after.

Contains: Lady Billionaire in hot water, sexy corporate fixer with a slight British accent, initially contentious relationship, BFF group, stun gun happy personal assistant, eclectic living community, so much sexual tension (that veto match!), explicit sex, no cheating, no cliffhanger, standalone in an interconnected series, toxic family dynamics (hers) contrasted to a happy mixed family (his), trust fund idiots who think they can get away with anything, corporate espionage, historic event with drunk driving leading to driver fatality, HEA.

Leo is a beast

Leo is a wounded, scarred hero with severe PTSD and agoraphobia who finds solace in online gaming. Hannah is his online best friend in a physically abusive relationship. Sparks fly when they meet in person. These two are so sweet with each other, and then Bam! the ropes come out. Can be read as a standalone, but there's a subplot that started in Broken Miles and finishes in this book. No cheating, no cliffhanger, ends in HEA.

Fun times for all

Audible review: The audio narration adds a lot of charm to the stories. While I loved all 3 books when I first read them, I found the narrators made the characters more likeable and memorable. The sheer ridiculousness of certain situations are highlighted by their performances. Having the extra bonus epilogues added in is a delight. As usual with the Copper Valley Thrusters, much hilarity and smexy times abound. Each story is a standalone but builds from the previous. No cliffhangers, no cheating, always a happily ever after.
