Historia
For many years, Glennon Doyle denied her discontent. Then, while speaking at a conference, she looked at a woman across the room and fell instantly in love. Three words flooded her mind: There. She. Is. At first, Glennon assumed these words came to her from on high but soon she realised they had come to her from within. This was the voice she had buried beneath decades of numbing addictions and social conditioning. Glennon decided to let go of the world’s expectations of her and reclaim her true untamed self.

A fierce, uncompromising, loving, beautiful story. If anyone can save women and girls, men and boys, and burn down the patriarchy in the process, it is Glennon Doyle.

Fabulous story about recovery from loss and opening yourself up to love again. Unfortunately the narrator really butchered the Australian accent of the characters.

New fantasy romance series not to be missed
Revisado: 09-19-17
This was my first Thea Harrison romance/ fantasy and it opened up a whole new world of pleasure and enjoyment. Her world-building is incredible. The spark between modern Sophie and ancient, part Wyr warrior Nik was real, entertaining, sexy and heart warming. And that's just the start of the good things in this novel. Thea Harrison is a new-to-me writer, but I just added her to my auto buy listTreat yourself and start this series right now

Historia
Kidnapped while on tour, musician Sidonie Martel is transported to the mystical land of Avalon. A human without magical ability, she is completely vulnerable to the deadly forces surrounding her. When she defies her captors and refuses to share her music, an act of violent cruelty leaves her broken, her ability to play silenced, maybe forever. Her only hope is a whisper in the dark, gentle hands that offer healing, and a man who refuses to show her his face yet who offers advice she dare not ignore.

Compelling mix of fantasy and romance
Revisado: 09-19-17
I loved every part of this story. Thea Harrison has created an incredible world, juxtaposing contemporary romance with fantasy and some of the oldest, most enduring of English legends. I'll say no more but encourage you to listen to and enjoy Sidonie and Morgan's heart wrenching journey to happiness. Sophie Eastlake does a magnificent job as the narrator.

A woman running a prestigious London auction house? Preposterous! But that is exactly what Emma Fairbourne intends to do when her father dies, leaving her the reins of this fabulous enterprise. Of course, she is not addlepated enough to do this openly and scare away her wealthy collectors. So she and her friend concoct a deception, hiring a handsome and charming front man who will do her bidding.... All would have proceeded smoothly - if it weren't for the maddening interference of Darius, the arrogant Earl of Southwaite....

Revisado: 09-04-17
A delightful romance. Earl Southwaite is everything a hero should. Plucky Emma is a wonderful heroine. Together they battle smugglers and spies - and wits with each other - on the path to happily-ever-after. This is vintage Madeline Hunter displaying her knowledge of art and laced throughout with wit and passion. I loved it! And I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.

Enigmatic Hero Wins Enchanting Heroine
Revisado: 08-09-17
I have few reading regrets but not reading/listening to The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie as soon as I came across it is one of them. Lord Ian's story introduces the flamboyant Mackenzie clan and the women who heal and tame them. Each story has its share of adventure and family conundrums. In this first one, Lord Ian, a brilliant and sensitive man, was violently abused by his father as a boy. Only gentle spirited Beth can penetrate his protective facade. Brilliantly read by Angela Dawes who is one of my three favourite narrators.

Cross cultural 19th century romance enchants
Revisado: 08-06-17
Loved this story with its cross cultural 19th century romance. Characters include a dilettante English Lord who must learn to embrace responsibility; a feisty tomboy heroine who must learn trust, two even feistier grandmothers, a precocious 12-year-old boy and beguiling villain. Superbly narrated by Kate Reading.
