This series has me intrigued for sure. I like the spin on gods and whatnot, but it was very predictable from the beginning. Also I could of done without the “love” scenes. I actually had to fast forward through two of them because they made me cringe. Other than that tho, it was a great book!

Cliffhanger of all cliffhangers

This book was by far my favorite of the series so far. Pel is learning more about herself and secret magic. As she gets closer to Harpock she learns that there is more to him and his part in sealing secrets. I wasn’t a huge fan of the love scenes, but its not the main part of the book. My mouth definitely was left hanging open by the end of the book. Off to the next to find out what happens!

Very different

I found this book intriguing because it wasn’t like any other YA books I’ve read. Pal is an archeologist who deciphers scrolls that bring ancient beings back to life. She meets Harpock, who is very (annoyingly) secretive. Although this is the main part of the book, I felt like I was in the dark until about three quarters through the book. I also couldn’t decide if I hated the inner dialogue of Pal or if I thought it was funny. Maybe a little of both. Anyway, overall this was definitely worth the listen, I’m glad I finished it and I plan to read the next book

Satisfying ending

I felt like the ending of this series was exactly how it should of been, and it didn’t feel rushed or like it was missing anything. Not a fan of the narrator but the story itself was worth listening through. It was a refreshing new take on the world of witches, werewolves and vampires.

I enjoyed this book. There were times when I wasn’t sure what would happen and I found myself yelling out loud to stop or don’t do that! I didn’t spect the ending and look forward to the next book

New take on witches, werewolves and vampires

I really loved the new take on the paranormal. Witches who were created to take down vampires, vampires created by good and evil, werewolves allies of witches. This narrator did a good job with this book and I look forward to finishing off the series. I have to know what happens to Mercy and the rest of her Coven.

It has a good ending

It took me about three hours to get into this book, and I’m glad I pushed through because it ended well. I’ll be buying the next book to find out what happens next

I really enjoyed this book. I loved getting to know Vlad, and I really enjoyed the action too! Highly recommend!

Great twist on vampires

I love this new take on vampires. I’ve read a lot of books with vampires in it and this is the first way I’ve read it like this. The narrator was just ok, but the storyline has me intrigued enough to continue the series.
