Finally an English reader who speaks Italian

So enjoyed this story showing the unrecognised strength of women through history. Having grown up in Rome it brought to life the incredible history of my childhood home. Mostly, I enjoyed the English reader who evidently spoke Italian and pronounced the names of people, the streets and the phrases correctly... grazie!

Please can the narrators learn how to pronounce Italian names and street names properly? having been brought up in Rome it gets very irritating ... also it hardly EVER snows in Rome.

Totally Epic... was worth the long wait

It didn't cover the numerous generations as other Edward Rutherford historical novels, but enjoyed the view of the different angles of the same timespan over the century it did cover. The chapters having different narrators, with what seemed to me real Chinese pronunciation made it feel like we were there!
