Wow what a story!
Revisado: 10-01-22
I really got hooked on this series and couldn’t wait for this to be released. It was well worth the wait!
This is the best of them all. Beautifully written and performed.
Being a 57 year old, heterosexual male, I’m sure I’m not the target demo but you can’t deny a great story!

It's early 1938, and Maisie Dobbs is back in England. On a fine yet chilly morning, as she walks toward Fitzroy Square - a place of many memories - she is intercepted by Brian Huntley and Robert MacFarlane of the Secret Service. The German government has agreed to release a British subject from prison, but only if he is handed over to a family member. Because the man's wife is bedridden and his daughter has been killed in an accident, the Secret Service wants Maisie - who bears a striking resemblance to the daughter - to retrieve the man from Dachau....

Superb!
Revisado: 03-26-20
I’ve listened to every book in this series and cannot get over the great writing of the author Jacqueline Winspear. She captures the essence of what I can only imagine the world was like in those days.
Unfortunately once again she is outdone by the brilliant work of Orlagh Cassidy. What a talent!
Just listen and you’ll hear what I can’t put into words.
On to the next book in the series!

Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.
