Another Great Story
Revisado: 05-27-22
I have listened to all of the audio books in this series. I absolutely love this author, the characters, and the person that narrates this Janine Burkett. The characters come across real. The stories that weave through each book are realistic. I feel like I know all of these characters personally. I rarely ever feel that about a book.

Spoiler Alert - It's mostly about Tommy and Polly

I love this series of books. However, this one should have been named "Tommy and Polly - to wed or not to wed.". A third of the book was about the wedding, that might or might not happen. Maybe Nancy is running out of material to write about? I'm still a fan, regardless

Historia
Brooke is a divorced single mom, financially strapped, living with her mother, and holding tight to the one thing that matters most: her two-year-old daughter, Etta. Then, in a matter of seconds, Brooke’s life is shattered when she’s carjacked. Helpless and terrified, all Brooke can do is watch as Etta, still strapped in her seat, disappears into the Los Angeles night. Miles away, Etta is found by Molly, a homeless teen who is all too used to darkness. Thrown away by her parents, and with a future as stable as the wooden crate she calls home, Molly survives day to day by her wits.

Boring, dull
Revisado: 06-19-20
This book was boring, dull, and totally unbelievable. Females were not allowed to fly in the ATT. The author admits to knowing this, and instead of finding another way for Julie to be captured by the Germans, of which there were many, she chose one that was completely false.
I love historical fiction. While it may be fiction, I still expect the story line to be historically FACTUAL.

Historia
A woman disappears on her way to work. A man is convicted of her murder. But this case is different. Though the police believe they have the right man, key components of the prosecution case are missing. There is no body of the victim, no witnesses to the crime, no confession and no physical evidence: no DNA, CCTV or murder weapon.

Frightening
Revisado: 10-05-19
It's frightening to think that someone can be convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison based solely on circumstantial evidence.
While I feel for the family of the victim, I believe that David is also a victim. I hope that someday he gains his freedom and can return to some semblance of a normal life.

Another great book from Lisa Wingate
Revisado: 08-21-19
I loved these books written by Lisa Wingate. They're easy to listen to, and have great life lessons. In this day and age when the world is so filled with self-absorbed people, and anger, and hate, it's nice to escape into a book that takes you out of all that. I look forward to reading more of this author's books.
