I really liked this series until this book. The story has completely lost its way. I will never know if the next book brings it back on track because I am done with the series.

Excellent if you’re 15, not so much if you’re 45.

There were several points early on where I almost returned this book but persevered because of the Mistborn series and because I had nothing better to do on a very long drive. I didn’t at first realize this was teenage literature, so with that in mind I was at least entertained and satisfied by the ending.

This book changed the way I perceive the world!

My only criticism would be the later chapters seemed a little rushed. The content was there, but seemed to lack the thoroughness of the earlier chapters. Maybe I'm just a little slow in the head but I'm going to have to re-listen to the second half of the book for the lessons to really sink in whereas the first half of the book had enough examples and scenarios for it to soak in the first time. And the reader is beyond fantastic!

If you'd like to improve your ability to learn and memorize medical terminology by as much as 100%, 200%, even 300% (or more) using simple memory techniques that you can learn in 15-20 minutes (or less), then this may be the most important book that you will ever listen to. Believe it or not, it really doesn't matter if you think you have a good memory or not.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If you can remember the color, smell, and exact placement of every object in every place you have ever worked and lived, then you can easily just replace every Medical Term with every object in the history of your life, and bam! You are an instant Medical Doctor. If it doesn't work at first he suggests either making your memories more horrific or more X-rated to make them POP.
This circus sideshow demonstrates a total of 5 Medical Terms in the entire book and says if I can do it you can do it.

It was like coming home again to end this magnificent series with the character that started it all. It was nice to tie up loose ends but the book was quite boring.
