The voices are impressive

I really enjoyed this book. At one point I thought it was going to turn sad but thankfully it had a happy ending. The sex scenes are also incredibly hot!

Hot, Sweet, & Dirty

The author did an excellent job creating a story that is very sweet light, funny, and romantic, with get turned on kind of explicit sex scenes. The performance was excellent. I was genuinely impressed with the performer’s abilities to both have so many starkly different sounding voices.

Loved it!

It felt like I was there. The writing was fantastic. It felt like I could feel what the characters felt and I identified so much with the female lead. I listened to the second book first and then learned about this one and I am so glad that I chose to listen to it. It was excellent; definitely worth the listen.

Heavier than I expected

This book was good. It really was. It was enjoyable, but I wish that the description of it said something more about the deep hard things the characters were going through to give me some idea of it beforehand. I really enjoyed the author’s note at the end as well. I felt like it would have been beneficial to have heard or read that part at the beginning instead. Oh well. Still a great book.

I loved it. I still think of it months later.

I feel like you know a book is genuinely good when months later you are still thinking about it. That was this book. I have read many light sweet love stories and so often the endings leave me feeling a little incomplete. That was not the case with this book. The ending was good that it literally pops into my head randomly making me smile when I think about these characters. That is a solid Indication of a really good book.
Next is what I wrote right after listening to the book.
It was sweet. It was mushy with moments that were funny enough to laugh out loud. I really liked the characters.

Way too short for a whole audible credit

After reading several of the Brides of the Kindred series instead of listening to them on audible because I couldn’t stand the sound of the narrator’s voice I had finally found that Evangeline Anderson had hired William Martin to record several of the last books in that series. It is much easier to multi task when listening to a good book instead of trying to read one while multi tasking. However, the latest two books of that series haven’t been recorded and put on audible yet. Unfortunately I had already paid for extra credits to listen to the last two books in that series. So, I chose to search out her other series of books on audible; which is how I came upon this book. The book itself was enjoyable. The narrator did a good job on this book however my biggest complaint is that I didn’t realize how short this book was before I spent the extra credit I bought on this book because I listened to the whole thing in one sitting whole meal prepping for the week.
However, because this book was so much shorter than those in the previous series I had enjoyed there was a higher percentage of sexual scenes making this book a quick hot sexy book. This book would have been better to read with my husband to get things going rather than to listen to on audible. That’s just my opinion. Even though it’s a good book I wish I had saved that audible credit for a longer book to listen to instead. Oh well.

I loved this story

I have never been extremely found of love stories in general. However, recently I stumbled upon this series of books as a tool to use for erotic arousal. Then by the 2nd book in the series I was hooked. I now have a list of my favorites from this series and this is DEFINITELY on that list. I loved this love story so much. William Martin did an incredible job as he always does even though I don’t love the whispering the thoughts of the characters. I am glad that the writer chose William Martin to narrate the last several books instead of who she had narrated the first few.

I loved it.

I read mixed reviews about this book but I quickly became engulfed in the story and characters. There were a couple of times I had a similar thought to other reviews that there would be no way this kindred would be fooled into believing she was male; however the male character describes at the end that he trusted what he saw more than what he smelled and I suddenly remembered my past relationships where I blindly believed certain things about the men I dated who fooled me and lied to me. When you are falling in love with someone it is natural to believe them and push doubts to the side. Anyway, so I could see how he could allow himself to believe that she was a he. I loved this story. It gave me lots of sweet butterflies and I was surprised by how hot some of the scenes were before they found out one another’s secrets.
I recommend this book and the performance is excellent even though I wish William Martin didn’t whisper so quietly and maybe just spoke more softly instead when he is demonstrating the characters thoughts.

Time travel makes for an interesting read

I enjoyed this book because I liked the time travel loop concept. However, I wish the story had been longer and more to it and I prefer when Evangeline Anderson more deeply weaves the next book’s characters into the current book than in this one, but regardless it was an enjoyable story and preformed well by William Martin. I only wish William Martin didn’t whisper the characters thoughts so quietly. Regardless he did an excellent job.

Interesting story

It was an interesting story although I did think it was a little slow at one point. I enjoyed it overall. The narrator did a great job with the voices although I wish his whispering wasn’t quite so quiet.
