In between
Revisado: 06-12-24
The concept and discourse is critical at this time of group think and virtue signaling.
I believe there is responsibility and action when the time calls for it (in these moments, silence or speaking, can be a weapon to build or destroy).
Picking no side for convenience or self preservation is in fact picking a side. In the end, the book reverts back to self censorship based on relative and individual judgments.
I wonder how we can coexist with moral singularity or pluralism.

Historia
Obiefuna has always been the black sheep of his family—sensitive where his father, Anozie, is pragmatic, a dancer where his brother, Ekene, is a natural athlete. But when Obiefuna’s father witnesses an intimate moment between his teenage son and another boy, his deepest fears are confirmed, and Obiefuna is banished to boarding school.

Thank you Chukwuebuka for this beautiful gift of love to Nigeria and the world. The author delicately and eloquently shares the love, pain, fear and hope of God’s children, our brothers, sisters, and parents. The story is enthralling, thrilling and hard to put down.
