Can Machines Feel?
Revisado: 12-07-23
Didn’t think I could feel such a connection to a machine in a story. This story accomplishes that in less than an hour. Superb storytelling and a great novella!

Fairytale Retelling
Revisado: 11-28-23
A retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Quite predictable at times. Some fun lore and average writing makes it 3 stars for me.

Historia
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Product of the time
Revisado: 01-09-23
Decent story that certainly paved the way for myriad stories and media. It was a bit of a struggle to get past the obvious sexism and air of British male superiority. Though the latter was nowhere near as blatant as in ‘King Solomon’s Mines’, the former was quite ridiculous. The saving grace of these faults is that they were the societal norms of the 17th century literature.

Answers questions I had about the early Empire.
Revisado: 01-29-19
Book was slow to start, but picked pace and I regained interest by the middle. This is a wonderful source for information on the transition from Republic to Empire. It also gives some backstory on the show Rebels.

Epic on every level.
Revisado: 11-30-17
Everything a Thrawn fan could hope for. Zahn brought back Thrawn's tactical genius, but also highlighted his lack of political maneuver. This required him to make allies (and friends). I especially like how some Legends characters were replaced with other characters (Such as Pelleon being replaced by Vanto, and Karde being replaced by Nightswan). Now I can finally watch season 3 of Rebels!

Abridged versions suck
- De brad burke en 07-15-23
Main plot is good. Side plots are less than par.
Revisado: 10-01-17
The whole sideplot of Luke searching for his mother is beyond dull and annoying. The plot with Lando is so far ok(ish). The main plot is fairly well written and entertaining.
