Historia
Eccentric, reclusive Walter Rennert lies cold at the bottom of his stairs. At first glance the scene looks straightforward: a once-respected psychology professor done in by booze and a bad heart. But his daughter, Tatiana, insists that her father has been murdered, and she persuades Clay Edison to take a closer look at the grim facts of Rennert's life. What emerges is a history of scandal and violence and an experiment gone horribly wrong that ended in the brutal murder of a coed.

Worst of Kellerman
Revisado: 05-04-24
I never got into it and the ending? Was that an ending? I'd get my money back if it hadn't taken me so long to finish. I kept waiting for something to happen. And I have always loved Alex Delaware. But then he was barely mentioned. In fact the mention of him could have been completely left out.

Abrupt ending
Revisado: 09-01-22
This is not the first book in this series that ends abruptly. And it's well into next book that you get a hint of the cliffhanger from previous book. Lots of repetition. I loved the first 3 in the series but now paying a lot for what is just a short story.

Historia
It's easy to feel at home in Mitford. In these high, green hills, the air is pure, the village is charming, and the people are generally lovable. Yet Father Tim, the bachelor rector, wants something more. Enter a dog the size of a sofa who moves in and won't go away. Add an attractive neighbor who begins wearing a path through the hedge. Now, stir in a lovable but unloved boy, a mystifying jewel theft, and a secret that's 60 years old.

Not one of my favorites

But Mrs Pollifax is always entertaining. Prefer Cyrus to travel with her. Returning characters are a plus.

Historia
Emerson Knight is introverted and eccentric and has little to no sense of social etiquette. Good thing he's also brilliant, rich, and (some people might say) handsome, or he'd probably be homeless. Riley Moon has just graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law. Her aggressive Texas spitfire attitude has helped her land her dream job as a junior analyst with megabank Blane-Grunwald. At least Riley Moon thought it was her dream job, until she is given her first assignment: babysitting Emerson Knight.

Historia
Stubbornness has landed private eye V.I. Warshawski in big trouble at her Chicago office. With her grand old Loop building set to be razed, she's become a hold-out tenant amid frayed wiring and scary, empty corridors. Then she finds a homeless woman with three kids in the basement, and before she can rescue them, they disappear. Worst of all, she's been implicated in a murder after the body of Deirdre Messenger, a prominent lawyer's wife, turns up sprawled across her desk.

Performance was really, really bad.
Revisado: 10-10-14
Would you try another book from Sara Paretsky and/or Shannon Engemann?
I love the author Paretsky but can't imagine listening or buying another book read by Engemann.
Would you be willing to try another book from Sara Paretsky? Why or why not?
I ordered all her books in the V. I. series and still listened to this one because they do refer to story lines in subsequent books. That is the only reason I finished listening.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Shannon Engemann?
The gal who read the first novels of the V. I. series.
Did Tunnel Vision inspire you to do anything?
Yes, make sure I don't order any more books read by Engemann.
