the story shifts drastically over time, and the power creep gets a bit out of hand at the end. not bad, but not sure if I'll go for the next one or not.

decent, but not great.

the whole story felt flat, predictable, and just not that entertaining. I was hoping for more. I stopped listening after book 1 due to lack of interest.

I enjoy this story as a whole, but this book (and book 3) have massive editing problems and changes to characters and story events. Kusonova became kitsune. Floating lantern festival became floating candle festival, and back again. obvious spelling mistakes read into the performance. noth worth listening to anymore. to me, this entire series needs heavy editing for consistency and flow. it's a mess.

Absolutely Terrible Quality Audio

This is obviously an upload of a CD version of the audio book. It is full of skips and stutters from a scratched disk. I love Jim Butcher, and this series is no exception. It is an exceptional read, and I love listening to it. However, I am extremely disappointed with the obvious lack of quality from the publisher of the audio book. Absolute garbage. You would think they would at least confirm the file the use is at least a clean copy. The first book also had a few issues, but no where near as many as this one. I will seek a refund for this title.
