The three sons of Ratharryn’s chief each perceive the great gift in a different way. The eldest, Lengar, the warrior, harnesses his murderous ambition to be a ruler and take great power for his tribe. Camaban becomes a great visionary and feared wise man, and it is his vision that will force the youngest brother, Saban, to create the great temple on the green hill where the gods will appear on earth. I enjoyed listening to this book as much as I did all the Tradd Street series...
The continued love/hate relationship between Nola and Beau continues to be interesting...
Mimi and Christopher are an interesting new twist and Jolene is just the right foil for Nola...
Can't wait for the next book!!!

Intense
Revisado: 10-18-21
I remember hearing about the Scorpion didn't pay to much attention being in grade school. Listening to the everything that occurred at the same time really caught my attention. Although my family members didn't serve in subs but on carriers and cruisers, I could just imagine how I would have felt had something had gone wrong with their ships. I think that I was most disappointed in how the Navy treated the families... my heart ached for the young wives and children left behind and to have to wait for so long to learn what really happened. This was a very intense informative book.

Makes you want more
Revisado: 11-11-18
the author has you wanting more. What else can the characters engage in. Where will it all end. Will the young boy learn
to control with the help of his grandmother, the priest, the detective, the half Fae, the lawyer and the Lord and his Lady.
Will the detective's sister be brought in on some of what is going on?
I do hope that this is not the end of the Order of Brigid's Cross series...would like to see more.

Tragic
Revisado: 11-11-18
As you read historical fiction you realize that the women who are the main characters are at heart very strong willed women who hold their own. This book added more dept to a young woman who was to her brother a piece on the chessboard of war and peace with other countries. He looked at her as a way to get another alliance without thinking of the consequences to her or what her life would be like...How she rose above it all is what carries the book.

Historia
Windsor Castle is one of the most significant residences of the British Monarchy ever conceived, and it has continued to maintain that perfect balance between ancient traditions and modern needs. Built by a conqueror to defend his new domains, it now hosts tourist groups from around the world. The castle has often served as a refuge, with its early battlements offering shelter to royals for centuries, while the castle helped shield others from the attacks of French kings and the Nazis.

Interesting
Revisado: 08-03-17
I gave it only 3 stars because of the whistle in the recording. It distracted from what would have been an interesting history. The recording was just not very good.
That was disappointing and took away from what could have been an other wise interesting part of English history.
