Acerca de esta escucha

When an Israeli tech executive disappears from Charles de Gaulle airport with a woman in red at his side, logic dictates youthful indiscretion. But Israel is on a state of high alert nonetheless.

And for Commissaire Léger of the Paris Police Force, all coincidences are suspect. When a second young Israeli from the flight is kidnapped, this time at gunpoint from his hotel room, his suspicions are confirmed - and a diplomatic crisis looms.

As the race to identify the reasons behind the abductions intensifies, a covert Chinese commando team watches from the rooftops - while hour by hour the morgue receives fresh bodies from around Paris. This could be one long night in the City of Lights.

There are hundreds of French words, phrases and names in this book. The narrator mispronounces nearly all of them, many by a wide margin. Her voice is irritating. Would it have been so difficult to find a pleasant voice who has a decent knowledge of French? After all, the name is "Paris."

Interesting story, poor narrator

it's no Daniel Silva (All on) novel. it was just ok. Characters were superficial and underdeveloped. Too many story threads - Many unanswered at the end.

Not nearly as engaging as I had hoped.

Light yet very entertaining read! Definitely going to look for more books by the author.

Great espionage thriller!!

It is incumbent on audiobook performers to learn foreign words in the books they are performing, especially if there are many in the same language. The French pronunciations by the reader, Rosie Akerman, are mediocre, but the Hebrew is horrible. The story is great.

READ, DO NOT LISTEN, TO THIS BOOK

I'd heard good things about this one when it came out in Britain, and I was not disappointed. This is an exciting and fast-paced spy novel that mixes great internecine inter-agency rivalries and office politics with tense, suspenseful action. Alfon does a great job of jumping between different characters (with two main protagonists) in different continents to keep the listener on the edge of their seat. Honestly, this should satisfy fans of both the cerebral le Carre side of the genre and the pulse-pumping Ludlum side. I hope it's the first in a series.

Very exciting spy novel

lots of interesting technical info on Israeli criminal.intelligence hierarchy. The mystery kept me on edge & guessing.

female voice distracting & overacted

There are hundreds of better spy books that develop characters verses lots of disjointed actions.

Disappointing
