This series was brilliant. It was full of facts that honored what really happened during the ww2, while including an intimate story of people whose lives continued through many different perspectives of the people of that time. This story reminds us that through hate, and in spite of it, love continues.

This trilogy is really good, I still think book one needs TW. The third book is by far the best.

All 3 books left me on the edge of my seat and I fell in love with the characters of Abram, Hoda and Kara….

I loved how the characters had a loving family and how things turned out in the end. However, it is heartbreaking to know what these cruel evil people did to the Jewish community. Straight out murder. it is so hard to believe that such a horrible evil person could have so many followers and people didn’t think for themselves and just believed that they were better than anyone and everyone else deserve to die. if you’re looking for a good story of the holocaust, this is a perfect series to read. We cannot forget, we must learn.

I read the first 2 books and really likdd them, so I had to read the third in the series. To my surprise everything was tied up inan unlikely bow. There were way too many coincidences. The book was disappointing since the first 2 were very good.

The first book was ok, as it was free, and a little bit more "new", but of course I had to see if she found her son. After that, too much explaining, re-explaining, too much everyone talking to themselves and reiterating to themselves. Too many coincidences to be a believable story, in light of my British Grandmother being from Winchester, in Her Majesties Baby, serving in WW2, and my grandfather from USA, serving as well, and all the other WW2 novels I've read and listened too. I'm currently 2 hrs from the end and her sister is simply going to not hate Jews, after a lifetime? No way...and just too Pit-Pat... also ridiculous that she didn't know they were killing Jews although the ash was raining down on her...and she was unaware..and suddenly her sister is simply going to love her husband? take him back after an affair?

So!!!! after all this time; she’s just going to just blab out loud in front of a Nazi guard this is your father, have a run away Jewish prisoner in her Nazi husband’s house…. bedroom at that; he’s crawling with lice & stench and their hugging & kissing. NOW….. she’s jeopardizes her own son’s safety. Oh !!!! Abram- says he won’t steal the bread from Kara but he’s in the house of her Nazi husband jeopardizing himself, Karl and Kara- so just eat the bread too!! Please make it make sense🤨
