Lily Paddington has a gift, but to her, it’s more of a curse. Three years ago, she walked into her husband’s dream and found out he’d been lying to her for months. I enjoy these holiday stories. Lily and Chases' story is the focus of book three. Lily is divorced with an young son and Chase is widowed from a less than ideal marriage. Despite the instant connection there are blockers. Lily doesn't want her son to get too attached to Chase if it isn't permanent. Chase's sister in law comes to Chase when she is pregnant looking for stability. And Lily's crazy ex wants to spend time with his son. Tis the season. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of A Witch for Mr Winter provided by the author.

Chase Garland and Lilly Paddington enjoyed working together at Love Potions. It wasn’t until an overnight stay in a nearby town due to car problems did they begin to think of each other as more than friends.

Lilly had her son Evan to consider, so she stayed away from the dating game. Her ex was no prize and she definitely didn’t want to make another mistake.

Chase had recently lost his wife in a car accident and wasn’t sure he was ready to move on.

Could the magic of Christmas and Christmas Grove bring these two star-crossed lovers together? Would Lilly be able to let go of her fears and accept the gift of love?

The narrator for this and the entire series is very good. She does well with all of the characters, making it easy to differentiate between them. I had read the book a while back but enjoyed it anew as a “bedtime story.”
I loved this story and almost all of the characters. The one I didn't like the reader isn't supposed to.
She and Chase worked together, were friends, and were attracted to each other. She didn't date to protect her son. He'd suffered enough from his father's desertion. She wouldn't take a chance on another disappointment. When a work trip stranded them the reluctance to spend time outside of work slipped.
The story is touching, the characters are people the reader would like as friends. The kid was real, a good one but not perfect and totally believable. Mom's most important part of her life is that kid. And, the boyfriend—a guy you'd want for your own or anyone important to you. It's one of those stories that end and after the disappointment of it being over...you just have to smile.
DO NOT MISS THIS CHRISTMAS TREAT!

I enjoyed this one the most. The first two books were good, this one was great. Storyline is along the theme of the first two but adding a non bratty kid, was the special twist.
As always, the incomparable Gabra Zackman was perfection.

This was one of the best Christmas Grove stories yet! It has everything we expect from a Christmas Grove Book and more! I always loved getting to revisit favorites and there were several in here. But my favorite part of this book was the storyline! I absolutely loved Lily, Chase and Evan and their story was beautifully written. I loved every bit of it!! And the narration was perfect.

Christmas Grove is a magical Christmas town. Lily, a divorced, single mother works one of her jobs at the local chocolate shop along side drool worthy widower Chase. There is definitely an attraction and friendship there, but Lily is hesitant to date because of her son and the strained relationship, or lack there of, with his father. But Santa has other ideas. Deanna Chase is a master at character development and subtle little romantic angst to turmoil. She creates beautiful magic worlds and towns you can't help but wish you could visit and even live in. Her imagination is boundless in developing the variety of talents her characters display in her stories. It's always a surprise. As always, Gabra Zackman is a talented narrator. An all around excellent story.

While this tale seems to have less witchy stuff going on than the previous books in the series, it kept my “wrapped” attention with the lives and loved being intertwined…

There is not much better than christmas and romance. With enough action to keep you listening, and enough heart to make you smile, this book and it narrator are the perfect kick off to the season

I really enjoyed listening to this one!! Gabra Zackman is really talented! She brought the characters to life and it certainly brought out the holiday spirit to me!
As a mother, I was able to connect with Lily and see her concerns in regards to her son Evan. Her ex had me seeing red a few times. So the author completely nailed it there.
Chase is the perfect gentleman who continues to show Lily how a woman should be treated and he’s teaching her son as well. So smooth worthy!!
Overall it was a enjoyable listen! Perfect for those that want to dip their toes a bit into the paranormal but focuses more on the romance.
