Acerca de esta escucha

Against the Left explores something basic to libertarianism that many people today have forgotten. As everyone knows, libertarians view the state and the individual as fundamentally opposed. People who freely interact in the market create on their own a wonderful society that advances progress.

In Against the Left, we examine some key battlegrounds in the struggle to preserve and advance real libertarianism against its enemies. These include the assault on the family, civil rights and "disabilities", immigration, environmentalism, economic egalitarianism, and the left-libertarian impostors who want to take libertarianism away from us.

Lew Rockwell wrote this book as he does everything else he writes; with straightforward clarity. I find his writing style both refreshing and accessible. Needless to say, this audiobook was an enjoyable listen. Also, kudos to Scott Pollak who did a great job reading the text!

Lots of Libertarian Clarity!

I would recommend this book to anyone, especially in this day and age. It is a fast listen you should just do yourself a favor and do it.

A great listen for everyone.

As a libertarian, I had great hopes for this book. However, Lew reveals hear his sexist and anti-gay prejudices. He used these views to justify why the state should keep or implement sexist and anti-gay policies given that the state is doing things it should not do.
For example, he defends keeping women and gays out of the military. He tries to defend this position as keeping these groups out would be more efficient because having women/gays in the military can create entangling relationships that interfere with military operations. He must assume that straight men would never create relationships with each other if they were left alone. This empirical claim has since been proven wrong but including his prejudices puts everything else he says into question.

Disappointed
