Acerca de esta escucha

When a violent storm hits Graveyard Falls, it unearths the unimaginable: skeletons of teenage girls, each dressed in white and holding a candle. It's clear to FBI agent Beth Fields that this is the work of a long-standing killer - but could it be the one she escaped years ago? She has no memory of the man who held her captive and murdered her friend. But even though someone was jailed for the crime, she's always feared that the real killer is still out there...waiting and watching.

Ian Kimball never believed his stepfather was guilty of Beth's kidnapping or the slaying of two local girls. Now Graveyard Falls's sheriff, he's determined to catch the true perpetrator. And when more young women go missing, he realizes he needs Beth's help. She is nothing like Ian expected, and everything he desires. But if they have any hope of finally ending the killer's reign of terror, Beth and Ian will need to put everything aside, including their past, their mistrust, and their growing attraction...

I enjoyed this book. Twisted characters and emotional scenes as well. It was unexpected but I just couldn't walk away until it was finished. Narrator did a wonderful job. I recommend this book.

Great

i enjoyed this series...keeps you guessing as to who did it...good story line weaved through...only neg was the “falling in love” part in all 3 books...it just seemed to “come out of nowhere” but overall worth the read...good narration as well

good series

I loved this story! Many twists to the mystery! Strong well developed characters! I also liked the romance👌

Serial killer suspense!

I know there is corruption and murder in the whole entire world.

But you attacked the Christian faith. We Christians believe in the blood of Christ and the sacrifice he gave for us.

Like I said, there’s enough crime in the world that you could write about.

Otherwise, the book was very good .

The the misunderstanding of the blood of Christ.

I liked that I kept thinking “ok, it’s him!” then “no, it’s him,” and then I’d be wrong again, so I knew I was going to be surprised at who the killer was. It was exciting until the very end.

Both Ian and Beth had their share of guilt throughout the book but I felt the sorriest for Coach Gleason. That was a long time he spent in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and more years on the run trying to find the real killer of all those girls. I liked Coach’s story and I rooted more for him than anyone else. And, Ian never stopped believing that his stepdad was innocent and never stopped looking for the guilty person. This was another good mystery by RH and there was a surprise near the end of the book, concerning Beth.

There was one explicit sex scene and there was swearing. The F-bomb was used 12 times.

As to this narration: I can NEVER understand what the first person to listen to a book does nothing but leave a 1 star rating then the second one leaves 4 or 5 stars and does nothing but rate it, too. Why do you do that?

Anyway, you can’t go wrong when Eric Dove reads a book to you. He does great voices and reads with wonderful emotions. That’s why the 1 star rating can’t be trusted, but then, neither can the 4 star because they don’t tell you why they hated or loved the narration. He's awesome.

Good read and great narration..

This book was well written. It truly did keep you on the edge of your seat – page. I thought I knew who the serial killer was but I was wrong. As I said it’s a great book with just a hint of steam and romance.

The best part of this book for me was the narration. I am not sure if I had read the ebook, that I would have finished it. There were parts that were intriguing and suspenseful. I have come to the conclusion that being gruesome is not enough to carry a story, at least not for me.

For the most part, some of the elements in this book were ridiculous. The obvious issue was that not one, but two members of law enforcement were personally and directly involved in the case. Yet Beth (the previous victim) got to run the task force, and Ian (the son of the alleged killer) got to partner with her. Every person followed their lead without questioning their judgment.

Their judgment should have been questioned because both Ian and Beth (JJ) were unable to control their emotions several times during the investigation, with them losing their objectivity on occasion.

Maybe it was me, but they spent a good amount of time trampling through crime scenes. Then calling in the crime scene techs and leaving before they could give them details about the crime scene or what they had touched.

I thought the twist at the end was kind of mean. Didn't Beth (JJ) have enough problems?

I won't even get into the romance. The relationship was boring, there was no chemistry, and I was not invested in either character.

I felt an obligation to complete the books that I had purchased. I was hoping they would get better.

Great Narration. Not Invested In the MC's
