The Carolina Hurricanes were routed once again by the Florida Panthers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final. Following a Game 1 5-2 loss, they went on to be shut out 5-0, to be down 2-0 in the series. On the Friday Edition of Locked On Hurricanes, host Zach Martin goes over what went wrong in the game after a lackluster performance from the Hurricanes. Firstly, Andrei Svechnikov had his worst night in a long time, turning over the puck twice and taking an unnecessary penalty that led to the team being down 3-0 after the first period. Secondly, the whole team looks uninspired following only having seven shots on goal through the first two periods of the game.
