Acerca de esta escucha
Michael Gaine was a well-known sheep and cattle farmer in Kenmare, County Kerry. On the morning of March 20th, 2025, he was seen on CCTV inside a local shop, buying phone credit. Hours later, he vanished. No calls. No movement. No goodbyes.
What began as a missing person case quickly turned into something far darker.
Despite weeks of searches involving Gardaí, local volunteers, and the Irish Defence Forces, no trace of him could be found — until a slurry tank on his farm clogged.
When they opened it… they found human remains.
In this episode, we walk through the full timeline of Michael Gaine’s disappearance and death — from the last moments he was seen alive, to the discovery of the chainsaw, and the arrest of a man who knew him. We explore the family history, the emotional weight on the community, and the open questions that remain as the investigation continues.
Was this a targeted act? A long-held grudge? Or something no one saw coming?
