Duke’s primary interest becomes his desire to profit off of Justin’s growing interest in him. “Getting Duke” is a very realistic novel about a street cruiser and a street hustler meeting, as well as their shared adventures that follow, and the challenged friendship that Justin wants to have with Duke. The story can be described as a straight bait and gay for straight adventure since Duke is straight with an interest in a female while Justin is gay. This novel is a contemporary gay adventure with desired gay romance.
