The best laid plans, right? When destiny shuffles the cards and deals out a new hand, Bridget finds herself questioning both her heart and her loyalties.

Story: 4.5 stars

I am a sucker for a male protagonist who has found the woman he wants and is willing to care for her and wait, even if there's not hope, to mean something special to her.

The female character in this story is definitely the one who struggles and suffers in this book. The male has been through a similar trial as she, but not to the same extent. His focus on her is complete, but not creepy or controlling.

A very romantic, yet clean, book. There is no real drama, just a love story that we listeners get to enjoy. Sometimes it is so refreshing to be spared all the angst that can accompany romance novels.

Narrator: 4.5 stars

I've listened to Liz Krane narrate a number of books and she does a wonderful job! Whenever I see her name as a narrator, I know that I'll enjoy the narration! She has a deep enough voice that the male voices sound believable. She doesn't read too slowly or enunciate so much that dialogue sound stilted.

I love this story! It wasn't overly angsty so you could enjoy the unfolding of Bridget and Graham's relationship. It grew organizally and seemed a natural part of the story. Cameron made you care about her characters and, of course, you can always count on her stories to be sweet and clean. Still one of my favorite authors. The narrator gave a good, strong performance and made a great story even more enjoyable.

Graham is a modern version of a chivalrous knight. He doesn't just want Bridget; he loves her, and so he is willing to do what he can to help secure her happiness. Though not as handsome as Bridget's beau, Roman, he is far more attractive on every other level.

Bridget is a strong woman who's refreshingly pragmatic despite being a romantic - but also a bit naive because of her wealthy and somewhat insulated upbringing. She loved her dad, and appreciated his help, but was determined to draw the line at letting him direct her personal life. So she balked when he kept trying to get her together with Graham, but now that her dad has passed on, she begins to see Graham for himself, instead of as the guy her dad was pushing her toward.

This is a sweet, gentle relationship development romance with wonderful characters that you wish you could meet in real life. You know they're going to end up together, but eagerly listen to find out how they finally get there. I didn't want the story to end. I'm looking forward to seeing where the series goes from here!

This was such a sweet love story. Bridget faced family tragedy and heartbreak over a few things, she didn't allow it to break her spirit. Graham knew what he wanted I was patiently waiting for it to come to him, sometimes that's what we have to do.

What can I say, it is so expected and at times the writing is just cringe at times because it is cheesy. The story is cute though and it is clean. I listened to it with my 14 year old daughter and nothing made us feel uncomfortable.

It was a good read. So glad she got rid of Roman. I say it was billionaire lite because the author didn't give details about the clothes or furnishings of a billionaire. The main character didn't seem rich at all. If he came from money, why did he join the Navy??? I will continue to read this author, but hope she will do more research into the furnishings, clothing and vehicles rich people own.

Through tragedy, Bridget was able to see the man who loved her all along. I love all of the books by Delaney Cameron. This one doesn't disappoint.
