One thing that I did not enjoy was the voice. The voice being narrated by an England or Ireland or UK what is not what I was expecting. . For me, the voice didn’t match or fit what was going on .
For the book I would’ve thought it would’ve been more of a European or regular voice. Overall, the book was great. I enjoyed it. I look forward to listening to more of his books.

The author does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life, while staying true to major historic events. Not only does the book keep the reader interested, the author does a great job performing the audio recording of his book.

The story is great but it was difficult to get over the Germans with British/Cockney accents. It would be much more enjoyable with the correct accents.

I liked the way Jewish people came together to help each other. I understand why Sophia acted like she did, but it was hard to comprehend. I highly recommend the book, and I would say more but I don’t want to give anything away.

Courage

This is a great story about a horrible situation. I was glad to hear at the end that some of the people were actual people. What I did not enjoy was the narration. Why Ethan was given a cockney accent is beyond me. After finishing the book I went back to the beginning to hear about his backstory but there was nothing about him being from anywhere but Berlin. The accent was nowhere close to a German accent and it was very off-putting.

I loved the whole story. I didn’t like the whole idea that the whole thing really happened but it’s easier for me to get it in this form and remember than in a dull history book. Thank you for writing it! Looking forward to reading your other to books from this era.

I completely enjoyed the book. The bond between the 2 men was heartwarming under such extreme circumstances. I will be reading the other two books.
