Tom Callaghan’s life has been completely turned upside down.

I enjoyed book 2 of the "Blood Magick Trilogy" series. In this story, Tom and his family were being attacked by others, and Tom wrestled with the decision about which was the correct path to follow. I liked Tom and his character arc, and I liked the friendships that helped to support Tom on his journey. I'm fascinated by some of the newer characters and curious as to what their role in Tom's life will be. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series, where I hope all my questions are answered. Zane Boyer's narration was great and added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Great Paranormal Fantasy

Parents: PG-PG13 this is acceptable for middle school and up
Language: PG very little used
Violence: PG13 nothing too graphic
Sexual content: PG - kissing, background LGBT characters, but overall it stays really clean.

This is book two and I must warn that this one ends on a pretty big cliffhanger so be prepared to need to snatch up book three. This will mimic my review on book one as these books are very tied to each and do need to be read in order. I listened to all the Evers Series before this series and I would recommend that as well but it is not required. I do like this serries more then the Evers Series I just feel this series has a more relatable main character. Tom and his version of talent/blood magic is kind of interesting and in book two the stress of it all is definitely getting to him and is changing his personality. It continues to be a fast paced read with more tension and action. Cliffhanger ending has me moving on to the next book quickly.

The narrator did a good job with all the differentiations and acting. There was only one accent that I struggled with and I did prefer listening at 1.35x speed.

BOOK 2 IS GREAT AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 3 TO COME OUT. ALMOST HAS A CLIFF HANGER FEEL BUT IT CAN STAND ON ITS OWN.

EACH STORY IS GREAT, CLEAN, WELL WRITTEN AND IS EASY TO FOLLOW. EACH STORY BUILDS UP FROM THE LAST.

ACCEPTABLE FOR TEENS AND UP.

NARRATOR WAS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

EXCITING YOUNG ADULT MAGICAL SERIES
Tom had me quite torn here. He was, at times, pulling away from the way I wanted him to go but he wants a quick fix and it may very well turn out that it may be beneficial when the going gets tough. Time will tell. He has good friends in each school and l wonder if he will stick with the current girlfriend. Recommended series

Blood Magick (Blood Magick Trilogy Book 2), my sixth read from author Marie-Hélène Lebeault. A spinoff of The Evers Series continuing to focus on Tom Callahan who was introduced in that series. An entertaining read! Zane Boyer's narration, though different from Valerie Rose Lohman's narration on the Evers series none-the-less makes a good book enjoyable, the accents he affects help bring the characters to life. I can't imagine reading the book without these accents. I look forward to reading more from this author, in fact Blood Legacy (Blood Magick Trilogy Book 3) is next on my TBR list. I received a free Audible copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
