Sasha is masquerading as a man in the army, with the intention of avenging her family. Her military leader is Kirill, and while on a mission together, Sasha is injured and it’s revealed to Kirill that Sasha has been hiding her true gender all along. He feels conflicted though he’s adamant at bringing them to safety. Through some forced proximity situations, Sasha and Kirill have to figure out the threat against them and keep each other safe.

The narration was good, and I enjoyed Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels, who is new to me. They provided engaging narration and made this book a lot more lively.

Whoa! This one was so good! It gripped me from the beginning to the end. I had my emotions toyed with but I also couldn’t get enough!

Another action packed read from Rina and I can’t wait to read the next book! Definitely recommend this!

This book started off a little slow, but —wow—I was totally into the GI Jane intrigue and HOT AF burning lust once it finally unfolded. No one fills in the scary-hot character outlines like a bunch of Russian gangsters. And while Sasha’s moral core got to be a bit much, I appreciated her character’s badassery. And her monster is insufferable but. . . . 🥵🥵🥵

This book ends in a cruel cliffhanger (btw—I KNEW IT!) and obviously it can’t be that bad bc there are two more books but STILL—no fair!

I LOVE duet narration and this one is top-tier! The narrators are perfect in their roles and make listening enrapturing. The storyline was so good I couldn't put it down. I read the three book series in 2 days. Highly recommend!

I was in love with the slow burn I live for a good slow burn that’s not to much of a slow burn but this is a pretty good book I was invested not once was I bored 10/10

Kirill & Sasha are my favorite couple of all time. I think about them constantly. The back and forth and suspense and dedication. All of it is so good. Rina Kent can’t write a bad character or book but if it ever gets better than this I don’t know if I could handle it!
