Unfortunately, his murder also draws in the Brethren - the leaders of the shapeshifter world - who will slaughter everyone in Mack's small rural pack if they discover her true identity. Unfortunately Corrigan, the green-eyed muscle-bound Lord Alpha of the Brethren, doesn't let much slip by him.

Would you consider the audio edition of Bloodfire to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the printed versions but I can see the movie playing in my head.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mac, and the gargoyle.

What does Saskia Maarleveld bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has the ability to change her voice to bring out the other Characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I like the book Titles as is, but maybe something simple like (Human-Dragons the other paranormal

The stories are coming to few and far between. I need More PLease.

Where does Bloodfire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I did enjoy this book, but I fade out twice and had to rewind. lol. I am well into book 2 and will get book three. It is slow in some spots, but I am enjoying the story.

What about Saskia Maarleveld’s performance did you like?

I love the reader and have listened to other books she has read. She has a wonderful accent and is easy to listen to.

I came across this in audible recommendation and it’s free! I thoroughly enjoyed this and will binge listen to the next.

Great starting story - though a bit heavy-handed with the love interest. The narrator has a nice english accent - either by inheritance or talent but the pronuncication of far too many of the words is inauthentic enough to be thoroughly distracting. Timbre great, but it seems that no effort was put into researching place names, slang, intonation of insults of many infractions. That said, the story and otherwise pleasant voices and characterizations worked fine.

Celtic is not pronounced with an 'S'!

I decided to listen to this series after reading all of the positive reviews but unsure if I'm hooked to devote more listening time. Story starts slow and narrativevoice takes a few chapters to get used to. Characters develop a bit too slow. The pack leaders don't seem to be evolved intellectually, and as much as I want to cheer for Mac, she seems to be losing her edge as the plot continues. Ending was honestly a let down but an easy segue way to the next novel. Will probably try the next in series as there is definitely something that makes me want to give this series another try.

Where does Bloodfire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved the storyline and all the characters, The only complaint I have is the use of the "f" word. Would still be good without it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mack..she and I would be best friends..we are alot alike as far as smart comments..but we are loyal friends.

Any additional comments?

Love the books..but please leave out the "fuck" work out of the books..i may not buy any more books if they use that kind of language constantly.

This was a surprisingly great series that I got as a recommendation by audible. The recommendations aren't always as great as this. Definately worth the credit
