The year is 1912. The description of this book did not match the storyline. The storyline was disjointed and seemed to add information that was not relevant such as the women's suffrage movement and some prophecy that made no sense. The fact that the vampires chose to commit suicide instead of getting on a Lifeboat made absolutely no sense at all.
