About halfway through the first book, this series went from my intended, "light-hearted read between heavier books" to "every moment of my free time is now devoted to Dungeon Crawler Carl." Just like with the first book, this was filled with nonstop ridiculous nonsense...but the author also introduces you to his bizarre universe in such a way that you NEED to know what happens, how it all works, and why. There's action, there's romance, there's political intrigue, swords, spaceships, magic, lasers, cat nobility! And once again, the narrator reads this book like it was written just for him to do so.

If you didn’t like the earlier book you probably won’t like this either but given you’re reading this review, I can assure you this book is great!

This one tugged on my heartstrings even more than the first! This is my first litrpg series and I’m enjoying it so much!
