Chloe has moved to Vegas to be close to her brother, after a nasty divorce from an abusive ex. Her brother, Graham, gives her a pamphlet, ‘Ten Steps to Ex your Ex’, Chloe decides that, for Step 1, she will take self defense classes at Graham’s gym.
Dylan is a professional hockey player and is not the typical bad boy. He’s still dealing with guilt and anger at not being able to stop his abusive stepfather beat his mother to death. He spends his free time volunteering at and making donations to women’s shelters. As part of his coach’s mandate that he get his act together, Dylan starts working out at Graham’s gym. He meets Chloe and immediately feels a connection but they start off just being friends. As the pair become more than friends, Chloe discovers that she has a stalker. Could it be her ex? How will this affect the fledgling relationship? And what’s up with Jack, the bunny? :)

Dylan is easy to read, but hard to understand.  On the ice he has it all together.  Off the ice his heart is falling apart.  Haunted by a past he can't outrun, he seems doomed to repeat his worst living nightmare.  This time will the woman he loves be his saving grace or his ultimate downfall?  Caution on Ice is an emotional whirlwind that begins in darkness and ends with redemption. Shaped by tragedy Dylan needs something to restore his faith in life and love.  Chloe is his second chance, but she has a few demons of her own.  West and Grey are a combination of gritty dialogue and tempting storytelling.  A tale of heartbreak and survival that sticks.

Dylan is easy to read, but hard to understand.

I love this author. She does an excellent job on delivery and the chemistry of the characters. I liked the fact the story was real life issues. It was loving, suspenseful and real. I do wish the sex was more detailed I feel the others were more playful in those parts.
I really loved the narrator she did a great job!!

So many times when I listen to a series, the next book just does not hold up to my expectation. SR Grey breaks this mold with her Boys of Winter series! The story of Dylan and Chloe is a little different than the first three, which I absolutely love! While we get to go to hockey games and the romance is hot, Grey weaves in the subject of domestic abuse. Both Dylan and Chloe have been affected by this and find healing through each other. It is a subject many do not like to talk about, and bringing awareness to both the physical and psychological effects is wonderfully portrayed in their story. There are many moments that contain the comedic talent of Grey's writing as well, so be ready to feel every emotion with this one. From fear to laughter to love, it will give you everything. And just when you think it can't get any better, we have appearances of players from the previous books, and the ever famous glowing green present too! The story is suspenseful and loving, could not ask for a better story! Looking forward to Jaxon's book!

Reagan West gives this book the perfect narration. She is fast becoming a favorite, with her masterful voices and inflections. I loved her portrayal of this book and look forward to more!

S.R. Grey wrote a wonderful romance full of love, hope and suspense, plus some great humor. I fell in love with Dylan, Chloe and Graham in this book. Dylan was absolutely perfect for Chloe in so many ways. I also though Jack stole some great moments. I loved the present in the green paper too. This book is both a standalone listen and part of a series. I love how the author interjects some of the other players in this book without taking anything away from this story. The cameo appearances are awesome. Reagan West did a fantastic performance in this book. I loved her inner musings of Chloe. She delivered so many raw emotions for this story. The suspense in this book was a great unexpected maneuver and shows how utterly talented both the author and narrator are. This story was so well done. I can't wait for the next one.

I was expecting a steamy, sexy hockey romance. This story delivered that but also gave me an emotional story of two characters who find healing with each other.
With the help of Dylan, Chloe is able to find her own inner strengths.

Caution on Ice is the 4th book in The Boys of Winter hockey romance series. It can be read as a standalone and in fact it is the first book I’ve read by this author. The audiobook of this story was entertaining and made my long commute so much more enjoyable!

This is an instant-love sweet story, fast-paced, with funny and steamy scenes, a little suspense and a beautiful HEA. I love the two main characters. Chloe is a strong woman and Dylan is so protective. I also like the other characters, including Jack...! The Epilogue is also sweet and heartwarming. I can't wait for the next book in the Series. The narration is well done and easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

This was my first book in this series and I definitely felt that it's a standalone. I want to go back and read the rest of these guys though because I really liked the back stories on the other guys. I did feel that with only having a female narrator, it was hard to get EVERYTHING I wanted from Dylan. Her voice is pretty low and sometimes I couldn't tell if she was reading Dylan or Chloe. That's just me being picky though. The story was well read and I enjoyed it.

Dylan and Chloe both come from broken pasts and when they find each other it's like they have found their other half. Dylan is extremely protective of Chloe and when she has a stalked coming after her, he will protect her at any cost. I loved how these two fell fast and hard for each other and they didn't let their pasts get in their way. Especially Chloe, she allowed herself to love again and to be loved after such a bad relationship prior to Dylan. I loved starting this series and can't wait to go back and catch up!

What a sweet and moving addition to the Boys of Winter series. Ms. Grey continues to make this series fresh, fun, and heartfelt, even while tackling sensitive topics. Dylan and Chloe are two broken souls who have found the strength to move forward in their lives. Dylan carries the guilt of not helping the one person he loved most and is making up for it by helping others. Chloe is just healing from a dreadful marriage and is starting over with the help of her brother, Graham. Dylan and Chloe's meet cute is hilarious and sweet. Their fractured souls call to each other and they can't deny their attraction. They start as friends but quickly become so much more. I really fell for Dylan, he is so protective, thoughtful and caring. I really admired Chloe and her strength and determination to live the life she was meant to have. They are so cute together and they help each other grow stronger. I really enjoyed getting to know Graham, and also reconnecting with past characters.
Reagan West's voice is so smooth and expressive, she is a joy to listen to. She really made this story even more beautiful and captivating.
This is such a sweet, romantic, and heartfelt story with a heart-pounding finish. I can't wait for more from the Boys of Winter!

Good example of taking a bad situation and turning it into something good. The love between brother and sister is touching and heart warming. The chemistry between the H and h is hot. Got to look ve the surprise Area 51 inspired gift.
