I liked the story. Sometimes these stories can go on 30olus chapters, but I felt it didn’t keep me longer than it had to. Male narrator was phenomenal. Female narrator should have been different. Felt her voice didn’t fit the character. Good story overall.

Liked the story. Predictable, but good nonetheless. The female narrator’s voice doesn’t match the character at all. And she kept saying birfday for birthday and it was almost enough for me to quit listening 😂

This book was the perfect lust-filled mix of forbidden, age-gap emotional love. Cherry and Cash fell together so seemlessly and their chemistry was so well done. What do you do when you fall into lust with and older man who happens to be your best friends dad? Well, Cherry made some missteps, but she was only 19 so I have her some grace knowing exactly how my mind worked at 19.
This book was a delicious treat and I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

The audio was a duet narration and that might just be my new favorite yet!

I really do like it when authors find a way to write forbidden type of tropes but with a great plot and story line. This book is exactly that, it surpasses just steamy scenes, there is a swoony love story there. The narration is SO good. I am starting to think Lacy is one of my fave narrators. And this book has the DUAL narration? Def a great audio experience!

I'm not really a fan of age gap stories especially when the fc is a teenager (though Cherry seemed older). That said, the story was actually better than I expected. As for the narration which was in DUET, the female narrator is not my favorite and didn't really fit with the character to me. I'd give her a 3/5. I loved the male narrator, Connor Crais, and enjoyed hearing him voice ( British) Cash and all of the other male (American) characters -- Jackson, Logan, the owner of the steakhouse, guys at the party, Cherry's ex boyfriend, etc. I'd give him a 5/5.

This book/listen was surprisingly good and the narration was on point but I’m all in with Connor Crais his voice is so velvety, yum❣️ If you like an age gap love with your daughters best friend that will take you on trip of many emotions you will like this book. This book has many triggers so be aware. Is this book worth the credit? Yes❣️🍒❤️‍🔥

Tell me I'm not the only Runaways fan and kept singing this song as soon as I saw the title. 😉
Cherry is strong-willed, kick butt 19-year old college student that I just loved right from the get go. Her strong personality came through and I knew I was going to root for her no matter what her story was. She jumps right off the page. While she is waiting tables, in walks her boss's friend, Cash who is a much older sexy man...with an accent! A man that can dress and has a good credit score. So out of Cherry's league, right? But boy do these two explode with chemistry! Immediate attraction leads to a night that these two won't soon forget.

But this isn't just an age gap romance, it's even more forbidden. What will Cherry and Cash do once they realize that Cash's daughter Arden is Cherry's best friend and roommate??!!

Give me the forbidden and give me Carmel Rhodes brand of writing. She sucked me in with the way these characters came together and learned to trust. Not only did I get to experience Cherry and Cash through Ms Rhodes creative mind, I got to listen to two amazing narrators that absolutely killed their portrayal of the characters. Lacy Laurel and Connor Crais!! Be still my beating heart!!
I Absolutely LOVED the duet narration audio performances. I don't see this often enough in books but when done right, it's like watching (listening to) a movie with your ears. And Lacy and Connor did that for me with not only Cash and Cherry, but also the other characters they voiced. Wonderfully done!!

Overall, I enjoyed the forbidden age gap story. A little predictable, a bit of a hard life for Cherry that led to her making poor choices in the present, but still darn good. The audiobook really brought it to life and upped my enjoyment of the story. Tick tick tick BOOM!!
