Certain words in the course of long use gather so many strange connotations that they almost cease to mean anything at all. Such a word is imagination. This word is made to serve all manner of ideas, some of them directly opposed to one another. Fancy, thought, hallucination, suspicion: indeed, so wide is its use and so varied its meanings, the word imagination has no status nor fixed significance.

The unknown author of the Book of Luke (like all the others) wrote only of his own experiences. And God said unto them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the Earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over all the fish of the sea and all the fowls of the air, and every moving thing that moves upon the Earth.

I trust that you will find tonight's message a very practical one, because today there are so many reading the paper and believing what they see and what they hear on radio and TV about the depression and the recession and this, that, and the other. Now tonight, let me tell you who you are.
