Lord Aiden recounts the MacInnes family history to his young daughter Elise. Historic tales from the time of Moses describe the family being expelled from Egypt and embarking on an epic journey through Crete and Thrace to finally settle in Spain.
The family hear of a mysterious green land with rolling hills and no venomous snakes from market traders. Could this be the destiny isle foretold by Moses?

It was interesting to learn the history behind the Destiny Isle and the Sword in the Stone as it plays an integral part of the series. Further, this book gives the listeners some insight that provides a deeper depth to the characters and storylines.
The author, Aila Skye, is an accomplished storyteller. She teases the listener with a smooth flowing story then gives them a plot twist that one does not expect. Although this is a short story, it provides the much-appreciated background and significance of certain items.
The narrator, John McNee once again delivers a wonderful performance. A man of many voices, he captures the essence of Elise and delivers it smoothly and with enthusiasm.
There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook. It was well done.
