Really good. Loving learning about the history and the biblical correlation.. curious how we have never heard about past lives until now. I thought it was funny how Kalugal brought them together. I found quite a bit of humor in this book as well. I wonder if they will dive deeper into the past lives thing. Must read more now.

This book was received as an ARC from I.T. Lucas, the following opinions and commentary are my own and in no way reflect the author, publisher, and other readers. Dark Secrets Resurgence is the part one Dark Secrets series (generally a trilogy) and book 44 in the greater Children of the Gods series. It is the story of Sari and David. I loved the book enough to purchase the audio version.


The Fates have been working overtime in southern California working their magic to bring fated mates together--completely ignoring the Scottish and Alaskan arms of the Clan. Kalugal gets a bug in his ear that tells him to get Sari and David together. With a little push, he gets David to jump down the rabbit-hole and get a new world open up to him.

Sari is open to having David as her mate but she fears secrets from the ancient past will implode their budding relationship. The Fates are quite the busy beavers in this book: Making the ex-Doomer Prince a matchmaker, pairing Sari with a Dormant with a past life, and let's throw in a well-meaning drama queen to spice up the signing of the Accords.

Finally Sari gets a chance for love. A trip to a castle in Scotland. The colorful narration paints such a great scene for the story of love and family.

This series is addictive! I can't seem to get enough of listening to the audio versions. The rich and immersive storytelling pulls me into a world filled with vibrant characters and intricate stories and plots. Each installment is a mix of humor that makes me laugh out loud, alongside tender moments of romance that tug at my heartstrings. The family aspect adds layers of depth, revealing the joys and challenges that come with loved ones.

I absolutely love the fact the someone from the other clan has finally found their mate. This book also has the coming together of the clans in a peace agreement and of course the ceremonies are stunning. I just keep falling for these characters even more, I look forward to reading the next book. The narrative in this series has been excellent throughout.

I was cracking up so hard! Kalugal went and kidnapped a human and presented him as a gift to his cousin! And felt so haughty about it too. As if he had every right to do so. Too funny! “The surprise is for Sari, not for you” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Loved the story and mains but the interactions between secondary characters are what make this series so magical. Thanks Isabelle for creating this world.

We're going to Scotland! Finally we get a look at the Scottish keep. I loved this book, it is so well written and narrated.
