In the distant past, a time of magic and swordplay, there lived Harold, the mightiest lich of all, a master of arcane sciences, and a challenger of gods. Harold is no naïve cultivator. He's an ancient lich with a single ambition: to slide back into his uninterrupted eternal slumber. But the cacophony of quarreling sects and smug martial artists seems determined to keep him awake.

Undeterred, the sleep-deprived overlord is ready to confront this brave new world. After all, no aspiring deity, no grandiose sect, and certainly no self-righteous martial artist is going to rob him of his beauty sleep.

Overpowered lich who woke up after 2000 years doing whatever he wants. It's funny with ALOT of dad puns. The cast is great and sounded like they really enjoyed their roles.

Hilarious story, awesome production

In a genre that is quickly becoming trite and saturated with drivel, this is fresh. A meandering OP anti-hero tale set to the mechanics of DnD…sort of. While there is no real driving force behind the story other than the MC’s curiosity, and no villain other than those unlucky enough to get in his way, it shines because of the delightful characters and absolutely brilliant narration.
Justin Thomas James shows that he is a top tier narrator. He creates a synergy between story and narration not often found. For that reason alone this is worth a credit. Soundbooth is the best thing to ever happen to audiobooks.

The only thing that I’m disappointed in, is the fact that I can’t immediately listen to the next book in the series… humor, relationship growth, characters, storyline you can feel is heading toward multiple fun and exciting places layered within each other!!! Please get the next audiobook out soon! And keep the boos coming!!!

one of the better stories I've listened to by curiosity and I hope that more come out including if you love puns and silly humor this is the book for you

The story is fantastic, very enjoyable, fun plot and settings, and some good humor along the way, but I have to mention the voice acting cast is just next level. Looking forward to the next one.
