The inspiration for this book was born years ago, when I encountered a man in his 70s - at that time, I would never have guessed that he was anywhere close to that age.

I had the habit of jogging to the beach and for some time, I had noticed that a ‘young’ man was always there before me, always looking cheerful with a smile on his face as he exercised and did his workout routine. At first, I was put off, but then I began to observe him. I became increasingly curious. My curiosity was what led me to finally approach him one day and ask what his secret to his continual happiness and joy was. It was then that opened up and began to share lots of deep things that later became my mantra and lifestyle in life.

He opened my eyes to how he had been able to capture a seemingly hidden power to combat evils in the world and his body, such as illness and fear. I wondered how that could be possible. I thought hard and broke sweat over how the mind could help a person fight diseases and infections. He was gracious enough to oblige me his time and share some of his ‘secrets'. Some of these things you will be hearing are gleanings from my numerous conversations with him, which I have begun to practice over the years, leading to significant personal testimonies.
