Acerca de esta escucha

Unlikely allies uniting across the world. Blood feuds that span centuries. A single chance at life.

The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive.

The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust.

Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction. One needs to bring the races of the world together while the other simply needs to survive. Surrounded by supposed allies, the duo will do all that they can to succeed - but with every new arrival comes rising tensions and faltering trust.

The apocalypse is coming. Will honor or greed stand the test of time?

Do you remember the 90's, and saturday morning cartoons, where 4kids would just take anime and plaster random dubs over a show, totally changing the tone and feel of a series just to make a profit? Well, that's what this book is like.

Luke Daniels is a narrator I've enjoyed before, but his voices just don't work for this series. The tone genuinely sounds like a saturday morning cartoon at times, with his voices sometimes being far too exaggerated, especially when compared to the voices done by Vikas Adams. Speaking of voice comparisons, Daniels' voices sound nothing like the ones performed by Adams. We're on the 5th book of a series, so such a dramatic change in how characters sound is very jarring and confusing. If he was at least trying to sound similar to Vikas' voices I could accept it, but he gives characters radically different voices, and sometimes different accents, and as a result it's hard to immerse myself in the series, since I'm constantly confused on who is talking, and constantly comparing his voices to the voices I'm expecting.

I feel bad going so hard against Daniels, but I just didn't enjoy his version of these characters at all and genuinely wish I'd just read the book myself. The story itself is great, and exactly what I expected from the series, but the narration change seriously hurts my enjoyment of this series.

It's good, but read it yourself.

The story is awesome Mr. Krout did an epic job as usual. The narrator however was abysmal. Everyone except Cal and his wisp and one other dungeon sounded like they were doing a bad Bela Lugosi. Cal and wisp sounded like they were from Brooklyn and the other dungeon an infernal was a very insulting bad southern accent. For me the narrator made the story very hard to listen to. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the Narrator.

Great story. Bad Narrator.

should have waited for Vikas Adams and pay him what ever he wanted. changing the voice of the dungeon was a horrible move. not even sure I will finish listening

where is Vikas adams?

the sudden change in all character voices was jarring and uncomfortable. I know that a lot of time and work passes between books but the change is so dramatic it seems deliberate but I can't think of why.

just why?

The narrator changes which through me off, but the book is still good. My only problem with the story is that the epilogue was not longer.

First things first, I really liked this book but yes the narrator is different and it's noticeable but not to the degree that the book isn't enjoyable.

I enjoyed how the author wrapped up this series and I really enjoyed the puns throughout.

There were some minor audio editing issues with my download, a line occasionally repeated but I don't know if it was an issue on my end or the audio file itself.

I thought Luke Daniels did a great job narrating that the voices were done well, some of them are very different from previous versions of the characters and that did take adjustment but after a little bit of listening I had fully adjusted and enjoyed them.

I'm very excited to see what the author does next!

Excellent finish of the series

The story is great but after listening to the previous voice Actor this one is very hillbilly ish and everyone sounds like a moron and it's hard to differentiate between different characters. But mostly it's how moronic he make some of the character sound that really irritates me the most

good story voice actor was off

Overall the story isn't bad but the new narrator doesnt make the characters sound different enough to tell apart. for me this made it hard to follow the story very easily. I am glad that he didn't try to imitate the voices that vilas Adam's did because I think that would have made it much worse. if I had realized that the narrator had changed I would have gone for the print version and just read it.

I prefer the narrator from earlier in the series.
