Acerca de esta escucha

Eschatology in Galatians is the study of the two sons of Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac, and their quest for inheritance. It explores the allegory in Galatians 4;21-31 and the related context which explore the sons born according to the flesh and the sons born according to the Spirit. Starting with the promise made in Genesis 3, And in you (Abraham) all families of the earth shall be bless because you have obeyed my voice" is the declaration of the seed promise. The book naturally divides itself into chapters based on the themes found in this epistle. The struggle between the two sons of Abraham begins with their mothers, Hagar, the Egyptians and Sarah the wife of Abraham. Sarah's inability to give birth caused her to choose surrogate birth through Hagar. Abraham complied and a son was born. It wasn't long thereafter that Hagar began to mock Sarah, no doubt and extremely sensitive area and cause for embarrassment, humiliation and shame. The story of these two mothers, and how it impacted the sons born to Abraham is the back drop of the entire New Testament and of the Bible itself. It also holds the theological key to unlocking the mystery in the Middle East. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to understand in the most simple of terms and reasoning how to make sense of the Israel-Palestinian question from a theological point of view. While it is not focused on the conflict, the principles it contains and transparent and easy to grasp. The role of the Holy Spirit is significant showing us both who are sons of God and how they are determined. Both sons had a "seal" of authenticity that spoke particularly of their status before God. The fact that they co-exist in the house of Abraham adds a bit of mystique to the plot and overall theme. The question of who is a true son of Abraham and how are they blessed is the huge elephant in the room of Galatians. The focus on the inheritance creates the eschatological backdrop that casts the story directly into the midst of the lasts days and the second coming of Christ. With Jesus' parables holding clues, the reader may confidently approach the study with sufficient references to draw a definitive conclusion. Escatología Estudios Religiosos Oriente Medio
