Winter has come to the world, and still, Erin Solstice has no idea how she came to be an [Innkeeper].
Erin is running an inn outside the city of Liscor, but she’s no longer alone. Ryoka Griffin, the City Runner, has business in the south of Izril; she’s out on a dangerous delivery of her own. Yet while both young women have finally found their calling, more and more people are beginning to realize that these visitors from Earth don’t belong here.
Erin must find new guests and old for her inn while expanding her tentative business. Staying safe would also be nice. At the same time, some pesky creatures have arrived to herald winter, and they bring mischief and danger unlike anything she’s ever seen. But as more and more children of Earth begin appearing, the cold of winter is the least of Erin’s worries.

LitRPG means Literary Role Playing Game. Simply put, it’s the book version of watching someone play a video game, usually one that’s set up like an MMO (massively multiplayer online) RPG. It’s a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, depending on how it comes to be that our main character ends up living inside a virtual reality. the point of LitRPG is not how we get there, but that we get to be in this virtual reality period, living life as a badass video-game character. Beat the grind and submerse yourself in these addictive LitRPGs.

I need a 3rd book!

This is a laid back story of people throw into a magical world that isn't at all the "fantasy" world they read of in books but a certain innkeeper helps everyone around her see just how magical the world can truly be.
This is a long and superb book, it was originally written as a webserial and it shows a little in the formatting on occasion, mostly with some chapters jumping back in time to show events from a different perspective but it doesn't detract from the story at all.
I can't wait for volume 3 ( I mean I'll have to since it's even longer than this book, so it takes time to record)

1) I am in love with this series and hope volume 3 comes to audio soon!!! It's usually difficult to keep my attention and I switch between books often, yet I CAN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. All 60 hours, I just listen to straight through. I finish these books in less than a week. I stay up late because I just can't stop listening!! The story is great, but what really sets it apart is the narration. If I could give the narrator 10 stars I would! Absolutely captivating! This book is apparently a web series available for free online, but the Narrator is who brings this story to life! Especially 60 hours for 1 credit?? What a bargain!
2) There are a few reviews about this book being political?? Are these reviewers serious?? Of the OVER 60 HOURS of book, "politics" is mentioned twice, and only as a point of reference for the time frame that some of the characters left their world behind. It just mentions some memorable things from the election, offers some characters thoughts that are IN LINE with the characters personalities themselves, and is not in any way what I would describe as "political". The first time the 2016 election is mentioned as a TIME OF REFERENCE is in the very first chapter, when the people from "our world" are talking for the first time and trying to establish a time line. So maybe because it's mentioned in the first chapter some people ASSUME it's a theme of the book? IDK, but these people must not have actually listened longer than the first chapter before rating this book, because if they did they would know that it's not mentioned again until about 10 HOURS into the book later, and again only as a frame of reference to time, and then never mentioned again for the remaining 50 HOURS of book.
3) I read an other reviewer saying this is the perfect example of what people mean when they say reading this book is like curling up with a cozy blanket and warm cup of tea! THIS book is what is meant by that expression. It's not deeply philosophical, yet it made me both cry and laugh out loud!
Looking forward to future Wandering Inn books being turned into audio by the same narrator!!! Also, with the unique characters and gradual world building, this would make an awesome TV show!
I can't get enough of this series!!!
